Friends till when?

"Class its time for our last partner group for the year. Since this will be for your final grade I will be pairing you up. I don't want the people who slack the most taking advantage of those who work really hard. Now as I call your names get in to your groups." My English teacher said as she walked around the room.

"Roxas and Xion"

I saw them move their desks closer together and I knew that Axel was upset he didn't get Roxas. Which didn't bother me at all.

"Axel and Saix."

Saix moved towards Axel and Axel placed his head down.

"Lily and Zexion"

I look over to Zexion and he smiles at me. I walk over to him with my things and we hear the rest of the names being called. Most of the pairings were actually couples. Once everyone was in their groups our teacher explained our assignment.

"This assignment will be your final so place some effort into this otherwise you won't graduate and you know what that means for most of you. Your assignment is to pick a play or story that we've done in class through out the entire school year and explain it in your own words. You can be as creative as you want, but you must get me to approve of it first. I don't want repeats so I'm going to pass around a sheet that has all of the things we've done and you can sign which ever one you want to do."

She started with Zexion and I since we were in the front. She let us all think and Zexion smiled at me a bit.

"Why don't we do Romeo and Juliet? Its a pretty simple one and honestly I don't think anyone else could pull it off but us." He said with a grin

"Hm, I guess you're right on that Zexion. It is an interesting story." I said thinking

He wrote his name and I wrote mine before I passed it to Sora and Kairi. Once I turned back to him he already had his notebook out.

"Why don't we do a little skit? I know that some of the people here didn't understand it. Maybe if we do a modern skit of this maybe they'd understand it a bit more."

"That sounds really cool. But what if Ms. Lighten doesn't approve?"

"Well lets see." Zexion said getting up.

He went to our teacher and explained it to her and she smiled at him. She nodded her head in approval before giving him a piece of paper. I wait until he gets back and he lets me read over the paper. It was the basic grading sheet. It was very simple and it would take a moron to not understand it. Once class ended it was end of the day so I went to my locker and I got my things for English before closing my locker. As I did I saw the one guy who ALWAYS gets under my skin....Kadaj...He seems to like messing with me.

"So it seems you got the book worm instead of me this time around, so what are you two doing for Romeo and Juliet?"

"Why the heck do you wanna know? Don't you have to go and work on your project with Rosey?" I said unamused

He crossed his arms as he leaned against the lockers near me. "We do have to do the project, but I'm just trying to be friendly here. No need to be a bitch."

"Hey, it takes one to know one Kadaj and last I knew I didn't have to wear a collar." I said with a small smirk before I went around him.

I went to Zexion's locker and he was still getting his things together. He was just as short as me so tall lockers were a bitch. But I wore heels that helped me with that problem.

"Need help Zexion?" I asked curiously

"Nope, I got it." He said getting his English book.

He and I then went to his home since he knew my parents never liked him. I don't know why it's just how they are, ever since I've been friends with him in second grade. It always confused me on why once I came into the house with Zexion they began to be hateful towards me. It wasn't until I was older that I was able to ask why. The only thing I got was 'you'll know when you open your eyes'. I hate it when they do that to me. They leave me with a damn riddle even I can't even solve. But anyways, we get to his place and his parents give us a warm welcome before we go to the back deck where there's shade. We begin to work on our project when Zexion was called into the house, I stayed put but I wondered what was up.
