A couple days later, I went to the lecture with Ed, Lorraine and Drew. Once it was over I was going to get into the car.

Drew: Hey, Ed? Ingrid? Lorraine?

Ed: Yea

Drew: There's someone here that would like to talk to you

I looked up and saw a woman with Drew.

Lorraine: Hi

Ed: Thanks Drew

Drew: Sure, I'll see you later

Drew kissed me on the cheek before heading over to his van.

Ingrid: How can we help you?

Carolyn: There's something horrible happening in my house, could you come and take a look?

Ed: You know, uh, it's gettin' kinda late, we really need to be headin' to our family

Carolyn: No, you don't understand

Ed: But we do, there's usually some sort of rational explanation

I looked at Ed and how rude he was at this woman.

Carolyn: I have 5 daughters who are scared to death, I'm so afraid this thing wants to hurt us, you have 2 daughters, wouldn't you do anything you could to protect them? Please, please can you come and take a look?

I looked at Ed and Lorraine and they both nodded at me.

Ingrid: Of course we will

We got into our car and drove over there. In the car ride.

Ed: Now Ingrid, please don't do anything dangerous, please

Ingrid: I won't Ed

Lorraine: We were very hesitant to let you come to this one cause of what happened last time

Ingrid: I know

Lorraine: Also, Ingrid I hope you know that you can call us mom and dad if you want to

I smiled.

Ingrid: Thanks, Mom, Dad

We walked over to the door and the woman opened the door.

Carolyn: Hello

Ingrid: Hi

Carolyn: Thanks for coming

Carolyn: Hi, I'm Rodger

Lorraine: Lorraine

Ed: Hey, nice to meet you, Rodger, Ed Warren and this is our

daughter Ingrid

Ingrid: Hi

Rodger: Thanks for comin'

Carolyn: Please, come in

Ed closed the door.

Lorraine: Oh, my god, look at you all, who are these beautiful young women?

Carolyn: This is Sandrea, the oldes, Nancy, Cindy, Christine and April

Carolyn went over to the girls.

Carolyn: This is Mr, Mrs Warren and their daughter Ingrid, we, um, we're all sleeping down here now, the girls feel safer and it's warmer, I'm constantly turning up the heat but the house is always freezing

Roger: It's not a problem with the furnace though, I mean, not that I can find

I started walking around and Carolyn came over to me.

Carolyn: It's gotten a lot worse the past few nights, there's this awful smell, like rotting meat that moves around the house

I looked at Ed and Lorraine and they came ove to me.

Ingrid: Uh

Carolyn: What? What is it?

Ed: Well, Rancid smells could indicate some type of demonic activity

Carolyn: Oh, my god
