I watched as the men carefully took Antonio out of the car. He was kicking and screaming which was eventually going to draw attention this so obviously didn't want.
"Just let me do it. He's going to keep acting like that, since he doesn't know you." I say to avoid getting him hurt.
Giovanni just squints his eyes at me and makes his way closer.
"If you try anything I wi-"
"Will what?" I cut him off annoyed that he's threatened me 2 times already.
"Don't test me. I won't hesitate to shoot you, got it?" He argues back.
"GOT IT!" He says louder and grabbing my face, clearly upset with the lack of answer.
"Got it." I spit out as I rip my face from his cold hands.
I walk past him and take Tino from their hands. I turn back to the car to grab his baby bag, car seat and my purse, before heading to their car and putting him in. They all stand there shocked to my willingness, but I rather sit in a luxury car than be gunned down behind my work place.
"Are we leaving or not?"
Still nothing, but dumbass faces
"Let's not act like you weren't gonna tell me to get in." I say hoping that this time they'll move.
Still nothing.
"Stop standing there with your dicks in your hands and mouth wide open. Let's go before I start putting up a fight."
Finally the dumb-fucks start to move. I'm not one to let my emotions control me, but I felt like I was made a fool out of. It angered me.
How dare he not give a shit about this kid for 4 years and now he wants to have the balls to kidnap me and what.
What's he gonna do demand me to give him back?
Can he?
Will he be able to just take him?
Legally of course not. Cause I will have to die before they could just take him.
Omg. If I get killed what will be of Tino's life?
"Mommy" he says in a small meek voice, but loud enough to snap me out of my daze.
"Yes baby." I give him smile hopefully it will be enough to keep him from worry too much.
"Is Giovanni a bad man?" That was the last thing I would've expected. I snap my eyes up to Giovanni seeing that he's already looking considering the question was about him.
"Um."
Come on Zariah think of something.
Both of their eyes were on me. Telling Tino this Giovanni was a piece of shit wouldn't help my situation. It would just make Tino worry and Giovanni mad.
"No baby of course not."
"Then why did they hurt me?" I could hear the hurt in his voice. It was breaking my heart.
"They were just playing around and didn't realize they were being that rough." I lie again quickly.
"Okay!" He immediately smiles again.
"Giovanni are me and mommy going to your house?" He bounces up and down excitedly. If only he knew.
"No, but we're going to someone's house who's even more fun than me." He answers back with the same level of excitement.
It made me sick. I just wanted to hit him.
Stay focused. No time for anger.
Whose house could we pos-."
My thoughts are cut off as we turn into a long driveway and pull up to an enormous gate with the initials A.A.
The driver and the man working the gate exchange words before there's a loud buzz and the gates begin to open.
"I'm gonna be sick." I say louder than I want to causing all of them to look at me.
The house was absolutely gorgeous. It had all white exterior and what looked like to be blue light windows.
If this was the house of Antonio's father there was no way in hell I would stand a chance to keep him.
That's it.
All those years of taking care of him.
Loving him.
Protecting him.
Gone.
"I'm gonna be sick." I say again before Giovanni opens the door and I immediately puke.
"Poor baby. We haven't even got to the bad parts yet." Is all I hear behind which I knew was Giovanni.
Shut up bitch.
