"And you are?" She asked with attitude and annoyance laced in her voice.
"We'll ask the questions around here, sweetheart" said Tom
"Sweetheart? When are we, the 1900s?" She rolled her eyes.
True, but I wouldn't mind.....
"So, you work for lilac, right?" Asked Tom, trying his best to mask his annoyance.
Her eyes widened at the mention of the name
"I ain't answering anything, but I will answer that, no."
"Hm, I don't believe you." said Tom,
the others were watching attentively from a bit away, they usually let Tom do the interrogating.
"Believe whatever you want, I speak the truth, it's up to you to take it, I don't need you to believe me, neither do I want you to, what I want, is to leave, so let. me. go." She said, getting impatient.
"I'd love to get rid of you trust me, but you're not going anywhere till you answer all my questions, truthfully, got it sweetheart?"
Said Tom, emphasizing on the sweetheart.
"You're not getting anything out of me, and I did answer truthfully. Keep me here all night if you must, but my lips are sealed."
"Very well then, I will." said Tom, now mad.
He stormed out of the basement, followed by the others.
"What was that?" Asked Mattheo, once they were back upstairs in the dining room.
"It's almost three in the morning and I have lost seven straight days of sleep and I can't handle her attitude right now, I don't know when I'll loose my patience and you'll find a knife sticking out of her." He said frustrated.
"Fine fine, calm down." Said Noah
"Did you find anything in particular about Corbett's death?" Asked Theodore, taking a seat.
"Yes actually, a lot." Said Draco.
"We'll do tell." Said Astoria.
"Well, for starters, Corbett's death was anything but a simple 'stroke' as the news said, it was murder." Said Blaise
"Interesting." Said Tom smirking
