   A soft growl left it's lips as it's piercing blue gaze locked onto my movments.

"E-easy....i-...I won't hurt you..." I said quietly, slowly raising my left hand to expose the large scar across my palm.

I watched as it's icy gaze shifted from my face to my palm. It seemed to...study...the scar before moving it's sights back to me.

I held my breath, eyes wide and body switching between hot and cold. Could this be my end? Here, alone in these woods, facing a beast many have attempted to slain, or hid in fear from.

"...p-please....I don't want to-" a loud, chilling growl stopped my words, replacing them with a gasp. I shut my eyes and looked away, cowering as my body began to shake uncontrollably.

Silence filled the cool air, but just as I began to calm down, a harsh warmth pressed against my palm....
