When we entered her house, I noticed an old man relaxing on the sofa. His nose was buried in a magazine, a fashion magazine. "Dad! I thought I told you to stop reading my stuff!" Marnie exclaimed, snatching the magazine, she tossed it to the floor. "Who is that slimy creature?!" her dad yelled, directing his attention to me. "This is Star, now if you'll excuse me, I have to go over homework with her." Marnie hissed, dragging me up the stairs. "The shower is that way," she pointed at a room, the door was shut. I pushed open the door to see assorted cosmetics everywhere. I turned the shower on, stepping into it. As I washed myself, I noticed something, the slime was coming off! Once I stepped out, I put on a bathrobe and stepped out. I slid into my dirty clothes I had worn before, stepping out of the bathroom. "Oh! You don't have a spare outfit. You can use my clothes if you want." said Marnie, leading me to her room. "Before you change, I have a few questions for you." I nodded my head. "Do you live in the neighborhood? Why haven't I seen you at school, and most importantly why were you covered in slime?" I struggled with my words, "I'm from uh..the moon? And I do in fact go to your school. My- mom? Took my house away, so now I don't have anywhere to go." I stuttered. I really didn't know much about humans. Marnie burst out into laughter, "so you're new to the neighborhood, and you're homeless. Right? And you go to Westville." She asked. I nodded. "If you're homeless, you can stay with us. The guest bedroom is right next to mine." I smiled, leaving the room. "Wait! The clothes!" She tossed me a pair of jeans and a crop top. I quickly left the room. I rushed into the guest room and threw on my clothes. I wasn't used to bedrooms, after all, I had been living in my small room pod for 15 years now. I looked at the perfectly made bed, it had white bedsheets and cute red decorative throw pillows. I was so glad that Marnie was letting me stay here. As soon as I had relaxed, I heard a knock at my door, I turned the knob, it was Marnie! "Dads making dinner, you like chicken nuggets, right?" Marnie asked, I hadn't eaten solid food ever, so this was all new to me. I just nodded my head and ran downstairs. Sitting on the table were two plates, on those plates were some red liquid and there orange.. Pointy things. There was also a glass of water for each plate. I looked out the window and noticed it was starting to get dark out.  "Are you going to sit down?" I turned my head and pulled up a seat. I tried to drink the red liquid but Marnie just looked at me like I was a crazy person, "why are you drinking ketchup?" I continued to suck up the ketchup when Marnie snatched the plate from me, "I love ketchup. Just- please don't drink it. It's disgusting" she handed me my plate back. I didn't know how to eat the orange things, so I just sucked on them. They actually tasted pretty good! "These are really good!" I exclaimed. I was trying to watch how Marnie ate, she took a bit out of the orange stick! That made a lot more sense. I also took a bite out of the orange stick. Then I swallowed it. I started choking on it. Luckily, I stopped after some time. Marnie didn't really seem to care much. After my plate was empty, I put it in the sink. That's what the janitors used to do back on the spacecraft. Of course, the sinks didn't ACTUALLY work on the spacecraft, but here they do! My body was starting to feel weak, "I'm going to go to my room." I said, "It's only 6pm! I like to go to bed early but I don't even go to bed at six." she responded. Marnie headed to the sofa and grabbed some, black control thingy. Whatever she did with that control, it activated something. I guess you would call it a TV? I sat down on the sofa. I saw a whole bunch of men kicking a brown triangular ball. Marnie just changed the channel. "I'm so tired." I groaned. Marnie looked like she'd already fallen asleep. So, I crept up the stairs and went back to my room. I undid the bedsheets and slid into bed. I still haven't forgotten what happened today, but I'm sure sometime someday, I'll surely get over it.
