Monster Fighting Is Your Thing

Chapter 5

Marco's POV

After school was over, Star went straight to her room. I could tell I had made her upset about the whole failure thing. I just want her to listen to me. She's not a failure and I would never see her as one.

I went up to her room to check on her. "Star it's Marco. Can I come in?" Star cracked the door open just enough for me to see her face. "What do you want Marco." I sighed. "Let's take a walk." Star nodded her head.

We walked for 2 minutes without speaking. "Star, you're not a failure." She rolled her eyes and huffed. "Here we go again. Marco, I'm not fighting monsters anymore. I quit. Its better to not fail again." Right after she said that, of course Ludo's army came to fight again. I looked up at the sky and got really frustrated. "You have got to be kidding me!" I looked at Star and shrugged my shoulders. "So what are you going to do?" Star looked like she was thinking for a second. Then she pointed to her cast. "Marco YOU'RE not a failure unlike me. You got this." So I started to pull some karate moves on all of the monsters. I was doing fine until a whole bunch of them started coming at me at one time. I screamed for Star to help. "Use your magic! Now!" Star hurried and pulled her wand out and did a spell. "MEGA NARWHAL BLAST!"

After all the monsters were defeated and they had all went back into the portal I ran over to Star. "Star you did it! You didn't fail! That was awesome!" Star nodded. "I guess it was. Thank you!" Star looked at me and half smiled. "Marco I'm sorry I didn't listen to you. I guess I was just scared to fail  again. I really am sorry." I smiled at her and touched her shoulder. "Its ok. When you fall just remember to get back up. You don't need to be scared." Star gave me a hug and smiled. "Thanks Marco!" As we walked home Star talked about how much she loves monster fighting. Yep! She's herself again.
