(Author's note: The point of view (POV) always shifted between the author's POV and Sakura's POV only, so don't get confused since I wanted to make the story flow naturally).
I slowly opened my eyes and found myself staring at the blurry face of a guy who had been watching over me. I blinked repeatedly until my vision gradually cleared.
"Thank God you're still alive," Sasuke said in his typical monotone voice.
"Sasuke!" I exclaimed, overwhelmed with relief that I hadn't met a tragic end. I spontaneously hugged him tightly.
"Ugh... can you just let me go," Sasuke hoarsely requested, enduring my tight embrace without pushing me away.
"Sorry," I said regretfully as I slowly released my hug.
"How ridiculous. You hit a lamppost and suddenly went unconscious. Then you wake up with the strength of a rhino," teased Sasuke with a faint frown.
I chuckled slightly. Sasuke had a peculiar way of using dark humor that I found endearing, despite its strangeness. It was like his own unique attempt at humor.
I glanced around and asked, "Where am I?"
"In your grandma's bathroom. Of course, in the hospital, dumbass!" snapped Sasuke.
I was shocked to see blood on Sasuke's clothes. "Sasuke, are you alright?" I panicked.
"I should be the one asking you the same question," Sasuke replied firmly.
I touched my forehead and noticed a bandage there. "Now, I look like a victim of a reckless car crash from a typical soap opera."
"That's true, except for the part where you foolishly hit the lamppost," Sasuke remarked.
"Oh, Sasuke, stop reminding me about that. It's embarrassing," I pleaded. I felt a sharp pain in my head, as if someone had repeatedly punched me.
"What are you doing?" I snapped, irritated by Sasuke's apparent lack of concern.
"Just texting my idiotic brother that I won't make it home punctually for our family dinner because you suddenly went missing, and when I found you, you fainted, and now we're both here. I had initially estimated that our meeting would take only 30 minutes," Sasuke explained with an arrogant and indifferent tone.
"30 minutes? Are you kidding me?" I snapped in anger. "You think our problems can be solved in just 30 minutes?"
"If we get straight to the point, then yes," Sasuke stated monotonously.
"Sasuke, you're so mean," I regretted talking to this arrogant guy. "I thought you cared about me for once. I know you're angry because of those photos, but the truth is, I was drugged by Sasori during the party, and he tried to... shit! He even broke my phone so I couldn't call you."
"Then why didn't you tell me about this party at all?" Sasuke looked irritated.
"Because..." I sighed. "I made a stupid promise to that bastard that I wouldn't tell anyone. And, stupidly, I was so curious about college life and stuff because the party initially seemed like fun."
"Yes, it seemed very fun indeed when I'm sure many of them were getting high," snapped Sasuke. "That's what upset me."
I raised an eyebrow. "So... not the photos?"
"Well, that's also one of the reasons," Sasuke tried to downplay it. "The thing is, Sakura, I'm just really disappointed in you."
I suddenly felt a wave of regret wash over me. "Sasuke-kun, I'm deeply sorry." Tears welled up in my eyes. "I don't know what Sasori tried to do to me when I was unconscious. I know, it was stupid of me to agree to go to that inappropriate party, stupid to drink Sasori's concoction, and stupid to make that promise to that jerk. Stupid, idiotic, and foolish Sakura, for not telling her boyfriend about any of it."
