" Is there a problem officers?" Aron asked just wanting to be clear he was not getting arrested.
" You're needed for investigation." James was kind enough to answer.
" Is this about the death of Mary?"
" Oh so you know. Clearly you've been expecting us. We could run a quick investigation right here but it is unfortunate our orders where to take you with us. Also not to sound rude or anything but you're not a lady so we don't expect you to waste time neither do we have patience to answer your questions."
"Alright," Aron said grabbing a towel to clean himself," we can get going."
He grabbed the garage keys and phone, allowing the officers lead him to the car.
James took the front passenger seat and Aron was sandwiched by two officers at the back.
" Can I make a quick phone call?"
" Feel free," James permitted.
" What?" The driving officer asked. " Already setting up preparations for a bail?" He teased and they rest laughed, all except James.
" Enough," James cut the laughing as Aron picked up his call.
" Hey Johnny....I've closed the garage...no I'm not sick....of course I'll open it later....yes you're to report back to work...the police station...no I'm not a criminal mind how you speak to me I'm your boss...."
Boss...your employee is a dumbass.
" I'll call you when it's time to get to work." Aron cut the call and immediately met eyes with James in the rearview mirror.
James made him feel uneasy. His face was expressionless. Did he think he was the murderer? He was sure he did especially after yesterday's little misunderstanding. Gosh, he was sure this guy would try to put him behind bars.
On the other hand James could see the fear on Aron's face. It was hard to miss. It was a bit shocking to find himself looking for this man from yesterday, but more importantly he was interested in the girl.
They first met at the station so most likely she was a suspect too. Was she working for this guy? Or with this guy? Or some other guy connected to the murders...or was she now at the risk of being the next victim?

" Aron Summers?" Ambrose said as soon as the door opened. He was the only man he was expected and behind him was James, who was going to be a witness.
" Yes sir," he said.
" Sit down," Ambrose ordered instead of offered.
" Thanks," Aron said not knowing why.
" How are you?"
" Good."
" Just good?"
" Sh.. should there be something else?"
" Your ex girlfriend is dead or should I say murdered."
" Oh yeah! I heard about that."
" And?"
Aron shifted his body unevenly in his chair." Nothing, I mean she's dead and sure I'm not happy about it, but I don't know anything."
" What made you two break up?"
" Nothing serious."
" You are to answer me accordingly."
" She dumped me."" Where you mad afterwards?"
" I...I.." Aron stuttered. Was he mad? Honestly, he was already growing tired of their relationship by the time they broke up. He had already started taking some interest in Ashley. " I..no one likes to be dumped," he gave a more general answer.
" That doesn't quite answer my questions Mr Summers. We're you bitter? Angry? Wanting to get revenge? Last I checked some people want to be dumped. What about you?"
" A little embarrassed. Nothing more."
" Why did she dump you?"
" She believed I cheated but I didn't. I have too much respect in me to cheat on somebody."
" Did she ever move on and find a new man?"
" I think so, we lost touch after the break up, but she seemed to be a lot wealthier after that. She had more expensive accessories which I'm sure was given to her by a man, and could be a lover or a regular customer."
" You may leave, James, escort him out."
James saluted and opened the door for Aron.
As soon as they both got out Aron began to speak." I bet you think I'm guilty judging from yesterday's encounter with Ashley."
Ashley! So that's her name.
" You better not be," James replied nonchalantly.
Now he knew her name and where she worked from. He knew that uniform and he couldn't forget it.
" I'm not," Aron said as if James himself was the one with the full evidence to lock him up for good. " Ashley and I-"
" That's not any of my business Mr Summers. I advise you to save your breath," he cut him short.
Something about James made Aron nervous. He didn't even know what but James really bothered him a lot.
Hey guys thank you for reading.
Do you think James will go looking for Ashley now that he knows her name? And that she too was a suspect of the murders.
