James was heading back to the station. He had to admit, something about Ashley satisfied him. He felt she had some sort of connection with the murder case, yet again he could not believe she had it in her to murder someone nor could she be helping a murderer.

"Hello," a lady stopped him with a smile.

James looked at the older woman carefully. Her fair white skin, her short black hair, her blue eyes, her smile, that smile and those eyes that looked familiar. Gave him a feeling he might actually know her and he figured she found him familiar too due to the look she had on her face. The look one has when you are trying to remember someone.

" Hello," he responded acknowledging her.

" Have we met before?" She asked.

" I'm not sure we have," James replied. Yes, he was certain he had not seen hee before but goddammit, there was something familiar about her.

"You sure?"

" Positive," he replied confidently.

" Vivian," the lady extended her hand," Vivian Blues," she smiled once more. The smile again feeling familiar....warm.

" James," he replied receiving her hand.

" Just James?"

" Yes, just James." He replied not at all wanting to disrespect the older lady, she was almost as old as his mom.

" I see, well, maybe I knew you from the station."

" You have a case there?"

" Yes, I reported my niece missing," she said trying to hide the emotions in her voice." I'm pretty sure your people are doing there best and she'll be found."

" I'm sorry about your niece," James said feeling sorry for her." I would love to stay and chat but I have to head back to work."

Before he could leave, he was surprised to have received a warm hug from her. What was up with this lady?

" Hope to see you soon!" She hugged him with a smile. James weirdly hugged her back and quickly left.

******

" Yes , Vivian Blues is the lady whose niece got raped and is now missing," Melissa told James as the two sat down in her office." Do you know her?"

" Just met her," James responded." Has there been any news?"

" Unfortunately no," Melissa said with a sigh." James," he looked at her. " Something's not right," she complained. " It's as though the girl never existed."

James leaned forward and looked at Melissa puzzled." What do you mean?"

"I've searched everything. Media, hospitals, clinics, schools, no one knows a Naomi Melby. Not even churches,.or temples or mosques, you expect her to be at least religious."

" Was she originally from here?"

" Nah," Melissa shook her head." Actually, Vivian explained she just got here and got raped and all that."

" So maybe she ran back to her mother's."

" She's an orphan."

" Ran away with her boyfriend?"

" She's ten!"

" Thought you said she's fourteen."

" She looks ten."

" Well kids these days do surprising stuff."

" Everything these days is full of surprises."

" I have to leave and escort Ambrose," James said getting up.

" Feed me every detail," Melissa gave him a tired a smile.

" Sure," he smiled.

******

A teenage girl opened the door after Ambrose rang the door bell. She was a blond and was dressed in a huge grey shirt that covered her short white shorts.

She looked at the four officers standing by her door,.one old one and three handsome goodlooking ones.

" Hello, we'd love to speak to your parents," Ambrose talked.

" I'm the only one here," she replied.

" Oh, then we'll just have to talk to you instead."

" Sure," she said opening the door for all of them to walk in. Her and Ambrose both rested on armchairs while James and the rest settled on the couch.

" We'd love to talk with you about your former neighbor Mary."

" What about her?"

" How close were you ?"

" We got along," she replied casually.

" What can you say about her?"

" Just the basics, short black hair, green shiny eyes, show off, stripper, competitive, loved to make out with a lot of guys. Must be the stripper in her." She added the last comment like a joke.

" Any relatives?"

" Hm...none that I know of. I have never seen her parents, I have seen her older sister and a few of her female friend, alot of her boyfriends except this last one. She never talked about him or let anyone see him. He'd always visit her during dark hours and had a car with dark tinted windows," she explained.

" Thank you for your time,"Ambrose said getting up." Let's go boys."

******

" Chief! That's it?" James asked as soon as he closed the door and stepped out.

" Was there anything else?" Ambrose asked sarcastically, the rest of the officers watching in amazement.

" The girl talked about a mysterious guy," James replied.

" He's the least of my problems now," Ambrose replied turning.

" How the hell is that the least of your problems?" Ambrose turned again to face James. " Excuse my language," he said not at all apologetic.

" I knew Mary had a new boyfriend. I have been trying to connect puzzles here Burns. I've been on this case for a while now and all these ladies who got killed where in safe hands except for Mary. She had an abusive criminal boyfriend who's Aron, upon the break up she met someone new and was trying to save him from Aron. My theory here is if Aron couldn't find him, he'd definitely take it on on Mary..."

" Sure, but shouldn't we at least know who this guy is?"

" You interrupted me while talking. Have you forgot your place Burns?" Ambrose got pissed.

" No, I-"

" Good. Then stay in your place! Otherwise these tables might turn on you!" Ambrose warned walking away.

Hello guys.
