Chapter 7 ~Freed Feelings

Jongin's POV

"Okay. I'll call you later." He said and hanged up the phone. Then he faced Kyungsoo who just stared at him the whole time he made that call. "Let's go?"

Kyungsoo nodded and they started to walk. They're at the beach now. They went there after school. "Who's that?"

"Mom. She's been engaging me in arranged marriage. I don't want to but I said I'll try just to shut her up." And because I am hoping to find a reason to move on. Then he bitterly smiled.

"A-Arranged marriage?" He seemed shocked.

"Yeah. I've already met some in the past but.. I just did it for Mom. You know, she'll throw her tantrums. She's such a pain."

"Is it the reason for doing those things these last days?" He asked.

"With some part, yes. But.. that's not just the reason." Should I tell him now? His heart started beating fast so he made a small distance from Kyungsoo, afraid he would hear it. Yeah, yeah. You're going insane, Kai.

"Mmm, okay." Then he stepped towards him and grabbed his hand.

This time, he felt his heart is going to stop. He hid his flushed face and hold Kyungsoo's hand tighter. He don't know but his eyes felt so hot. He felt as if butterflies had fluttered inside his stomach. It's a heart-warming feeling he just can't explain. He cleared his throat when he speaked. "Why?"

"Nothing. I just missed you." Then he paused. "You've been distant lately. I don't know if it's my fault. You've been hanging around a lot of girls and.. I don't know. I just felt that you're near yet so far."

He chuckled. "What's with you, Kyungsoo?" He joked.

"Shut up. I'm serious, Kai." Then he glared at me. Then his eyes become soft, as if he's pleading. "If.. you want to tell me something, I'll seriously listen, okay? I'll hear it."

That time when he said it, he felt that strong urge to confess. He's still afraid of his response though. But.. Kyungsoo's have someone he loves, right? Everything had changed since that day he found out about it. He inhaled deeply and said, "Okay. I'll tell you." Then he stopped and faced the sunset.

And if you already hear it.. I hope I won't lose you, Kyungsoo..

Kyungsoo's POV

"Okay. I'll tell you." When Kai said that, his heart began to thump so fast that he felt it would go out of his chest. It's painful yet he likes it.

Kai walked towards the sea. "Stay there, Kyungsoo. I don't want you to see my face while saying this. Listen well, okay?"

"Yeah. I promise." He responded.
