The fresh flowers were being placed in the base, letting the sweet yet refreshing fragrance of them surround the silent room, which looked as usual as a hospital room. The person who was working with flowers was a guy in his mid twenties, he had a normal shirt on along with loose jeans and a pair of sneakers.
The sound of someone showering in the bathroom echoed through the room, it made the man understand the person who was supposed to be sleeping in the bed wasn't there, he was taking a morning shower.
It took a good two months for that boy to recover fully, his injuries were finally healed. Most importantly the day to discharge from the hospital had come, that's why all the preparation was happening. To welcome him wholeheartedly, he shouldn't feel like it was a normal day for a second.
By then, it was December, the outside world had become more white than before. Totally different from the atmosphere when Minhyuk last got to witness it. Back then there were a few rainy days but now, it's freezing cold outside. But that didn't prevent him from taking a cold shower.
With that temperature, the cold water seemed like ice to everyone but for Minhyuk it was a source of calmness. His long hair was long gone because he had to cut off all his hair because of the surgery he had in the back of his head. But thankfully as it took quite a couple months, it grew up. But it was still shorter than his usual one.
As cold drops of water slid down to the floor, Minhyuk bluntly stared in the mirror, that had become his usual routine. His calm eyes roamed around all the marks of injuries in his body, head to toe. They were the marks of disappointing his father, those were the marks of him being insulted to the world.
Each of them reminded him what his goal is. He had prepared himself to face Taehyung for all these months, not physically of course but mentally because he knew he can't win against Taehyung using physical strength but he could win against a battle of minds.
His goal was certain, his path to it was certain and the plan started with Jungkook, the only person who caused all of this.
“What are you doing here?” The sudden voice coming out from behind made the man, who was putting fresh flowers in the vass, startled, almost leading him to make the vass fall on the floor. But he was fast enough to pick up his pace and grab it before it could shutter into pieces.
“Did I scare you?” When the question was asked Jungwook immediately turned back to meet the other person, Hajoon was in his usual attire. His dazzling eyes, sharp nose, thick brown eyebrows, everything was on point. God really gifted this family with some eye catching looks
“No, sir.”
“Why are you so shocked then?”
“Erm..” Jungwook went quiet when Hajoon reached his hand to grab one of the flowers, placing it before his nose he sniffed its sweet fragrance as a small smile made its way to capture his face. Jungwook witnessed everything in silence, his eyes were sparkling at the view though everything went unnoticed by the other man.
“This smells really disturbing.”
Jungwook's mind went puzzled upon hearing Hajoon, his facial expression was changed in no time, it was showing how confused and clueless he had become after that puzzling answer. But to his surprise, Hajoon still had a small yet pleasant smile on his face.
The sound of the door opening caught their attention very soon and Jungwook couldn't be more grateful, because he was in one of those situations where he couldn't get Hajoon’s intention at all which led him to become all speechless, not having a proper answer in his mind.
Hajoon's eyes shifted to the boy that walked out of the bathroom with only a towel wrapped around his waist, the drops of water was still on his body, hair all wet. His sudden exposed appearance caught Jungwook off guard. It looks like everyone in this family has some odd bold behavior, it's hard to understand what's going on in their minds.
