The Sea, The Sky & The Pony (The Little Mermaid, Pretty Cure & My Little Pony)

Chapter Eight

-Ariel-

It was the next morning and I woke up in a great mood with my friends. We're so excited for today, Eric is meant to be showing us around the village! Lashana helped me get ready and she took us downstairs to where the horse and carriage waited as Grimsby and Eric opened up the gates.

A kind human helped me up onto the carriage and we sat and waited for Eric. We saw Max and he came over to the carriage and we immediately smiled and started petting him, for the second time in my life. "Looks like you've made a friend there, c'mon Max, we'll see ya later" Eric came over and grabbed Max.

Sora smiled at Max as well before she smiled at me. "Max really like you, Ariel." She said and I smiled back at my friends.

"It really is." Izzy smiled as the pony nodded.

Eric then climbed into the carriage and signaled for the horse to go and the sudden movement made me jump slightly. We strode out of the castle and around the village near the waters and the view was so pretty. We stood up and looked back, carefully not to fall, then we sat back down.

I looked at Eric holding the thing for the horse and he asked if I wanted to try. "Here," he offered and handed it to me and I hit it making the horse start speeding extremely fast. "WOW, ARIEL!" Mashiro yelled at me. "LOOK OUT! LOOK OUT!" Eric and Sunny suddenly yelled to a man and his donkey in the middle of the way. The donkey neighed and the donkey and the guy successfully made it out of the way in time.

"SORRY BOUT THAT!" Eric looked back and apologized to the man and his donkey. He turned back around and started to laugh and say that was a close one. "That was so close." Ageha said as my friends and the pony sighed to relief. What Eric didn't know is that we've just entered a village filled with people everywhere. "WOAH!" he yelped when he finally noticed. "TURN!" he leaned up and pulled the string causing the horse to turn and dodge the people.

There was a flock of goats up ahead which finally caused the carriage and horse to come full-stop. "That was.. fun" Eric panted and we got out of the carriage. "Let me give you a hand" I saw Eric walking up to the man guiding the goats back where they belong and we decided to walk off. We heard music and chattering, so we decided to follow the noise.

There was a lot of people gathered around selling stuff and we took a walk around admiring everything. this is something i definitely don't see everyday. "Island Berry?" this lady asked me. Another lady spoke right after her holding up a bag that was apparently free. I kept walking and almost bumped into a guy on accident. "Woah!" he yelped. "Sorry." Sora and Twilight apologized to her after Ariel almost hit her.

I turned around and was greeted by a man chopping a coconut in half and holding it up to me. "Fresh coconut?" he offered. I stared at it hesitantly as I remembered what Scuttle told me about humans not liking coconuts and I immediately ran off. "Nah? You don't want it?" I heard the guy as I ran off and I heard laughing from my friends and the pony, they know I don't like a coconut.

"Young lady, would you like to try some?" this kind woman asked me, holding out a bowl of something yummy looking, and I took it out of her hands, about to walk off with it. "Oh! I think you'll be needing this!" she stopped us and held up a dinglehopper. No clue why I'd have to style up my hair before eating something, but I guess it's some human thing.

I set down the bowl and grabbed the dinglehopper, started twirling it around my hair and my friends knew it. I was having fun with it until I saw the lady and two nearby men giving me strange looks, so I dropped it back down on the table and sped away. I saw a man selling hats and I walked up to him. "Hat for the lady?" he asked and handed me a hat.

"Oh, there you are," Eric suddenly peered around the corner smiling. I put the hat on his head and the guy took it off of Eric's head. "No, too big, try this," the man leaned down to grab a different hat. I took the hat off of the guys head and put it on Eric then turned to walk away again. "Tropical flowers?" another kind woman asked me while holding out this beautiful flower.

I grabbed it and started to eat it and continued walking as I heard sighed from my friends and the pony. I like it here, I thought to myself. I started walking around these colorful sheets and these people walking by had something comfortable looking on their feet and I suddenly wanted a pair of my own.

We found a pair and jumped into a circle and started dancing with the other people that were there. Eric found us again and we both started dancing around with the other people on the Island and it was so much fun!!! Eric spun me around and pulled me into his chest and I was suddenly so close to his face. We both stared into each others eyes for a brief moment, then some kids ran right in between us and pulled us apart from each other. what was that just now?

We continued to stare at each other as we both got dragged away from each other by other people to dance. We finally started dancing together again as normal as if nothing just happened a few minutes ago, But I soon forgot about it anyway, so i'm assuming Eric did too.

We were laughing, dancing, and clapping as the villagers continued to dance around us and throw sand in the air. I can't even remember the last time I've had this much fun. Once the music was coming to a stop everyone gathered around by a pole and cluttered onto each other smiling and laughing.

Eric, my friends and I were finally ready to leave and it was getting dark, so we were in the carriage headed back towards the castle. "I love this time of night, sometimes you'll see the eyes of—" Eric spoke but a bird stole his attention away as it snatched his hat and flew right off. "What is he doing?" Mashiro asked about him. It started to caw and I immediately knew that it was Scuttle. I couldn't help, but think this was being done on purpose. I know Sebastian has something up his Crab leg...

"HEY COME BACK WITH THAT!" Eric yelled to Scuttle as the carriage came to a stop and he dragged me off of it to chase Scuttle. "Come on!" he was holding my hand as we ran through the trees to chase after Scuttle. "I think it went this way," he was giggling and let go of my hand to move all the branches out of his face. "You alright?" he turned to us then continued to run until we reached this open area by a Lagoon with boats.

"HEY! GIVE ME MY HAT BACK!" Scuttle flew back into view and dropped the hat right into the boat as i heard laughing from my friends again. ahhh i see the grand plan here. "Oh, alright!" Eric spoke and ran to the boat to get his hat. "I didn't want to lose this" he said while standing in the boat and I looked at the boat wanting to take a ride. Bet that was Scuttle and Sebastian's little plan anyway. Maybe even Flounder is in on it.

Eric put the hat back on his head and watched as I stared at the boat. He looked at the boat then back up at me and it's like he finally got the hint to take me on a boat ride, so that's what he's going to do.

"Ariel, don't tell us that Flounder and Sebastian have an idea about this, right?" I asked her with a whispered, Ariel nodded. Making all of us and the pony began to smile.
