Brainwash

"Gh- Stop it!" She shouted.

Pin was getting dragged down the same hallway that Leafy and Fan went through. She was worried, VERY worried. She knew what happened to them. She didn't want it to happen to her, or anyone else.

They arrived at the room and Pin was strapped on the metal bed by the Mephones. She observed her surroundings, some scapels and stuff....other hospital stuff, she wasn't that good at science or whatever anyway. She saw blood on the ground and quickly looked away, almost throwing up.

This whole situation sucked. She just wanted it to end, to return to her normal life before this all happened.

Sure, her life was boring and she wanted to spice it up, but not like THIS. Not in the sense that innocent people ACTUALLY get harmed.

She hated it. So much.

She just wanted to return to her school life. Yes, she didn't like school, but anything would be better than this.

But, whatever. She's in this situation. This is happening. She can't stop it. What's she gonna do? Go 'please! this isn't you!'? As if that would do anything.

Her thoughts were interrupted by an oddly familiar voice. "Well, well, well. Looks like we meet again."

"Wh- Announcer?" She raised an eyebrow. So it WAS Announcer?

"Yes. Yes. It is me. I know how handsome I am."

"What."

"There's no time for this. We must continue the show."

"What show?"

"Shush. Cobs, will you do the honors?"

"WHAT HONORS."

"Gladly."

She didn't even know that Cobs was there. I mean, he didn't even say anything until now.

Cobs held up a... an.... what the hell even was that thing? An abomination?

"What the hell is that." She murmured.

"Why, it's a brainwashing device. I am aware that this is too intelligent for your tiny brain-

"Excuse me?"

"-to comprehend, since this is SO in the future!"

"Wuh- Bu-"

"Shush now. Just relax."

"HOW CAN I POSSIBLY RELAX WHEN-"

Then darkness. Just darkness.

She was still alive (unfortunately), she just fell unconscious.

Leafy was scared.

More scared than she's ever been.

She was scared for her friends.

Scared for herself.

She liked her normal life back at school. Anywhere would be better than here at this point.

She just wanted everyone to be happy. That's why she's always been so nice to everyone. She values others alot. It's clear by her simply wanting to help her friends as much as possible in any way she can, even if it's not helpful for herself. She thrives on the help she gives to others cause she cares that much. 

While that IS a big deal, she could still be egotistical and see her good deeds as VERY important, and while she IS helpful, she can end up being not so humble about that fact without realizing. She tends to get freaked out over others not accepting her help since she expects a positive reaction from everyone.

Thankfully, she does have her limits as she sometimes only accepts to help if given something in return. She only wishes the best for everyone, even if they hurt her in the past.

Sure, she MIGHT not be exactly the most mentally stable person, but that was okay for her. She could accept that. But in this situation, it was hard to stay optimistic. It was hard to cheer others up when you aren't even happy yourself.

"Leafy?"

She was snapped out of her thoughts by Fan.

"Are..you okay?"

No. Of course not. Was what she so badly wanted to say. "Yep!"

"Are you sure?"

"No."

"...okay I didn't expect that response. But like, do you wanna tall about it..? Or...I mean- It's fine if you don't want to!" Fan stammered.

She couldn't help but giggle. "..We can talk about something else if that's okay?" Leafy asked.

"Yeah, that's fine! So how's life back at school?"

"It's..decent, to say the least. School is hard, for sure. But it can be fun..sometimes, at least."

"Honestly, same thing, same thing. I'm kind of worried for Test Tube, knowing that she'll probably do ANYTHING to find me.." Fan trailed off.

"That's....kind of concerning. Y'know, the 'anything' part."

"Yeah..speaking of Test Tube, what's she doing right now? Hopefully she's safe.."

"Mephone4?"

Getting no response, she backed away slowly.

God, why did this have to happen? Why couldn't they just stay with their normal life?

She cared alot for Fan. A whole lot.

But was she really about to risk her life just for him?

...maybe.

Suddenly, the Mephone lunged at her.

"WOAH-"

She tried her best to hold it away. Her eyes darting to her arms and to the Mephone while trying to think of something to do.

She had to think of something that could catch it off-guard and buy her enough time to escape.

Was it even an 'it'? It could be a she. Or a he. Or a they. But whatever. It wasn't important.

She tried kicking or flailing her arms, but to no avail, she eventually grew tired and weak.

"She's probably safe, I don't think she'd be dumb enough to go out to look for you."

"In what sense?" Fan questioned.

"Like, she wouldn't go out right now, especially after 3 people went missing around the area."

"Ohh, right."

"What did you think I meant?"

"I thought you meant that she would be smart enough to know that I wasn't worth it."

Leafy gasped, "I would never say that!"

Footsteps.

Was it Pin?

Hopefully she was okay.

They both turned their head towards where the sound came from.

"Hey guys!" Pin said with a smile.

What.

They did something to her.

Something was wrong.

Pin happily skipped towards her 'room'.

"Pin..what happened?"

"Nothing happened! Don't you guys just find this so cool?" Pin grinned.

Okay. They definitely did something.

"This isn't cool, Pin."

"Well, that's your opinion!"

Fan watched silently, not really knowing what to say. While Leafy frowned deeper.

She was willing to do anything to get her friend back.

This wasn't her.

She doesn't know what they did, but it was bad.

She was gonna stop this. No matter what it took.
