Part 2 "Baby Mine"
That evening, when Guy finally managed to get through to Sam after the third ring, he immediately told him about Michellee's unexpected pregnancy.
Guy was sure his eardrums would bleed after Sam let out an excited scream over the phone. "I'M GONNA HAVE ANOTHER NIECE OR NEPHEW?!"
Guy winced slightly and couldn't help but chuckle.
"Yep, Michellee is only in her first week-mester, so the baby will likely be here in about two weeks. Do you think you'll be back from East Flubria by then?"
"Oh, I hope so! Things have been up and down here as of late. My mom is stressed to the point that she's gone to nearly all the hot sauce bars in town."
Sam took a seat in a chair in the hotel room he and his mom were staying in, keeping a steady grip on the phone.
"Huh? Who would've figured that East Flubria was the home country for hot sauce." Sam then added, but more to himself.
"Really, what kind of case is it?" Guy asked curiously.
Sam thought for a moment as if contemplating whether he should tell Guy about the mission.
"We're trying to track down some man named Sylvester McMonkey McBean who'd recently conned a colony called the Sneetches. He swindled all of their money and took off with it. Something to do with stars not being in fashion."
Guy's eyebrows perked up at the explanation. "That's something you don't hear every day."
Sam laughed, "Yeah, it's a bunch of humbo-jumbo to me. But the Sneetches seem to value having stars on their bellies."
"I guess I'll never understand East Flubrian customs," Guy said, joining in Sam's laughter.
Suddenly from upstairs, Guy heard an energetic scream coming from E.B.'s room.
Guy smiled as he recalled E.B. telling him she was gonna tell Looka the news by screaming to the rooftops that she was gonna be a big sister to another sibling.
"What was that?" Sam asked from the other side of the phone, slightly concerned when he heard the scream.
Guy chuckled warmly. "Oh, that's just E.B. She's very excited about getting another brother or sister."
"Oh..." Sam trails off, nodding in understanding.
He then asked, "How'd Junior take the news?"
Guy shrugged. "Oh, just how any kid his age would react. He was a little upset but once we explained things to him he started taking the news better."
Sam twirled the phone cord with his finger. "That's good-By the way, I'm totally bringing back a ton of souvenirs, especially for the new baby."
"Sam, you don't have to..."
Suddenly from Sam's side of the line, Pam came through the door with a tired expression on her face.
"Gotta go, Mom just came back. I'll see you soon, best friend!" Sam exclaimed before placing the phone back on the receiver without letting Guy get another word in.
Hearing the dial tone, Guy hung the phone back up and sighed, knowing he had a lot to do for the upcoming weeks.

The Am-I family were worried about Junior, to say the least as since the announcement of Michellee's pregnancy he's spent countless hours staring outside the front window whenever he had the chance.
Even when E.B. offered to play his favorite game, he declined and opted to keep looking out the window. The family hoped this was some kind of reaction to the pregnancy as Michellee was now a second week along.
