The Christmas Wish

Fifth year Halloween pt.2

It had hit the time 4pm meaning that all school was over for the day so Remus could walk his way back to the dorm. However Remus was having thoughts to himself about Sirius " I wonder if he likes me back, I really do love him but I don't want to ruin our friendship, what if this ruins it when I tell him, what if I loose him forever, I cant loose my best friend padfoot.. I'll keep it to myself for now its fine I'll pluck up the courage sooner or later..."

Remus knocked on the door to the dorm, he liked knocking before entering because he was taught it was polite whilst the other boys mocked him for it jokingly which Remus didn't mind since they were his closest friends and they would be able to tell if they had ever gone to far with a joke. As Remus entered the dorm he met eyes with Sirius. Sirius was Remus' first love and his only love Remus had always have feelings for Sirius but he thought he would get over it since he didn't want to accept that he was a half breed, werewolf and potentially a homosexual, imagine the look on his parents faces if they found out. Being a werewolf was bad enough for him. So he ignored those feelings for multiple years and decided he would just continue to see him as a friend even though he felt so strongly about the young Sirius Black. Sirius met eyes with Remus making him instantly smile with joy and run up to Remus and give him a hug. Sirius asked Remus how his day was and if he had seen James and Pete since they had been gone since they last saw them in the great hall before third period.

Remus exclaimed how he hadn't seen them and suggested that Sirius and himself should go and search for them since they are probably out causing chaos somewhere or another since they couldn't really leave Hogwarts without catching a train and the train only came when the start and end of school occurred so they weren't worried about them going anywhere except the castle. Sirius put on his leather jacket with his "The Cure" T-Shirt underneath and his leather trousers and long calf boots. He then said to Remus " Double Leather is a Statement." smirking Remus replied " Like double Denim then or are you opposed to that idea?" Remus smirked hue knew this would cause Sirius to have a reaction and that's why he said that statement. Sirius turned around in horror to what he heard come from Remus' mouth and said jokingly "How dare you even suggest that Double Denim is a statement since it is most certainty not you should be sent to Azkaban for it but Double Leather however is one of the best ideas I have ever come up with Remus John Lupin." Remus with a shocked look on his face responded " I cannot believe for one moment that YOU invented Double Leather Sirius Orion Black since someone before you must have worn it at one point." They both laughed at the words that had been coming out of each others mouths, whilst what was going on in both their heads was alternatively the opposite and just wanting to tell each other how they felt. Sirius said to Remus " Right Moons lets head off we need to go and find these two!" Just as Sirius was about to leave the room James and Pete jumped out from under the blanket shouting "BOO!!!" making both Sirius and Remus jump out of their skins since they had thought they were in the room alone. They should have known that their mates were there since they are the type of friends to eavesdrop on each other and make fun of what's said later on.

James mockingly turned to Sirius saying "DoUbLe LeaThEr Is A StAtEMeNt" making the three others laugh with joy and then going on to say " Lets get to bed you lot I've got Quidditch in the morning meaning you lot have to be in bed for me to be able to sleep and I don't need your constant whittering as well thank you very much!" James one of the mother figures of the bunch since Sirius was like a toddler meaning that he had to look after him everywhere he went since all Sirius did was want to cause chaos, James and Sirius really bonded with each other platonically since James had been looking after Sirius for five years now since Sirius' family was not the best of people and James offered help meaning he could get out of the sticky situation he was in. He loved Sirius with all his heart and this meant that he wanted to protect him with his entire heart as well, James was one of the more sarcastic lot whilst he loved a good joke James was dedicated to making sure that he stayed captain of the quidditch team and stayed on top of his training since he loved Quidditch and felt as if it was his calling. Peter was the most mischievous of the group and loved causing chaos with Sirius but he was also the quietest of the group since him and Sirius would get into trouble quite often and he decided he enjoyed being mysterious because not many individuals knew what Peters persona or voice was like since he only ever talked around his friends. Pete would always be up for causing trouble around the castle since he thought at the peak of his life he should make sure to have the time of his life and not waste any time since one day he wanted to become the minister of magic and help rule over Hogwarts and the ministry.

As the three other boys got ready for bed Remus and Sirius were the only ones left in the bathroom together. It was always them who would be left since Remus always waited for the others to get changed before he got changed since he was insecure about his scars from the full moon and knew that they would be accepting but overall he preferred to get changed alone and in the bathroom. As Sirius was brushing his teeth their eyes met in the mirror with Sirius saying to the reflection mockingly " what you looking at moons something interesting you or are you reading me like a book?" Remus responded " sorry Pads just got lost in thought." Remus smirked he was encapsulated by the boys eyes they were the most beautiful thing he had ever seen and just looking at them in a mirror kept him locked in for minutes on end. Sirius then headed out the bathroom shouting "Goodnight see you in the morning everyone!!!" a loud grunt came from James since he was attempting to sleep but Sirius had other plans to annoy the heck out of him before he slept to make James giggle.

As the night went on Sirius wrote in his diary that he kept well hidden in a locked drawer all about Remus and how he felt so it was more easy to lock up his feelings and keep them away. Whilst he was doing this Remus was across the room minding his own business and making his way through his book "Charles Dickens Great Expectations" when Remus was locked into a book nothing else mattered meaning that he could ignore the entire world, this was a positive for Sirius since he could write whatever he wanted without Moony becoming curious about what was going on inside his head and what Padfoot was writing.

Sooner or later Remus fell asleep into his book, Sirius always stayed awake till this happened since he knew how much Remus hated having a creased or even broken back of the book. As he did this he turned off the lampshade to his right and put a bookmark into his book tucking Remus in and wishing him a goodnight. Sirius then opened his locked drawer placing his well kept diary into the drawer and locking it away till the next day when he would use it to write down everything about how he felt about Remus Lupin.
