Chapter 5: T-Rex Girl part 2

Bridget POV
I was beginning to open my eyes, when the light blinded me. I closed my eyes again until I felt a shadow over me. I open my eyes fully and saw the rex, just staring at me. Like she never seen a human before. I looked at her, as I began to sit upwards. She took a step forward. To my surprise, she didn't roar or anything but just stared. I put my right hand in front of me like my dad did for the raptors. "Its okay" I told her. She leaned her head closer to me, I half expected for her to bit my hand off or something. But instead, she rubbed her face against my hand. I sat there in shock as she did this. She lifted her head and looked at me in the eye. Her eyes said I trust you and I want to protect you. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. From what I read about a T. rex, they are considered to be ruthless. But what I'm seeing isn't ruthless but kind. Possibly she believes I'm her child of some kind or something along those lines. I almost felt this bond between us that can not be described. A bond between man and beast. I looked over the dinosaurs shoulders and saw my dad standing there, wide eyed. I looked back at the Rex, who nuzzled her face against my body. I stood and started to pet the side of her head. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see guards with tranquilizer guns and darts. I knew they were going to put her to sleep long enough for me to get out. But, this bond. I felt like I couldn't let them hurt her. They lined their fire at the Rex. I stopped petting her side and stood in front of her, facing the troops. They told me to move before they needed to take me by force. I stood my ground. "MOVE BRIDGET!" I heard my dad yell, but I still didn't move. The troops started talking, and they fired anyway. I was strike with a tranquilizer dart. As soon as it came into contact with my skin, I felt dizzy and tired. The Rex roared and stood in front of me, was it protecting me? I don't understand what it's doing. The Rex fell in front of me when I began to feel even more dizzy and blacked out.

Owen POV
What did I just see? What was that? I've never seen a Rex do that before. That was not normal. During that whole time, I feared for my daughters life. But there she was, laying beside the sleeping creature. I can't believe any of this happened. But what really pissed me off the most, was the fact that the troops hit my daughter with a tranquilizer dart. That could have killed her!
They finally allowed me inside the cage and I ran towards my daughter. I picked her up in my arms and carried her bridal style to a jeep where I took her back to the cabin I was staying in. I wanted to ask her about what happened when she wakes up. I need to know what happened and what happened with the raptors. I cleaned her wound to make sure it wouldn't get infected. I don't think she'll wake for another 2 or 3 hours, I'll leave her a note, telling her I'm going to work somewhere and she can hang out with Zach and that other kid she was telling me about and for her to text me where she is going. Claire contacted me earlier today to come and check out a cage for this new hybrid that the lab has been worked on. I started to head off to the building with Claire. I tried to focus on the task at hand, but I couldn't stop thinking about Bridget and what happened back to the Rex cage. I hope she will be alright.

Bridget POV
I woke up in a building I never seen before, probably my dads cabin that he told me about. I looked around, I must have been sleeping for an hour or so. Sighing, i noticed a note besides the couch I was laying on:

Hey Bridget,
You many be wondering where you are, well your in my cabin along the route. I had to go take care of some business with Claire, but if you want, you can explore the park some more. I just want you to be with someone, like Zach or that other kid. I just don't want you to be alone little princess, and don't think that we are not going to talk about what happened in that T. rex cage.
Be sure to text where your going to be just in case. I left a car outside that has the gps location to the park, so you can find your way back. I'll call you when I'm done working.

I looked at the letter and smiled, at least he cares. I pulled out my phone and text him, 'hey dad, I just woke up and about to head to the park. Thank you for the note, I'll talk to you later xoxo' after awhile of waiting for a response from my dad, I texted Zach. 'Hey Zach, just woke up, want to meet somewhere? My dad wants me to be around people so nothing happens to me again.' I started to walk to the car my dad left when I got a text back, ' Hey Bridget, sure we can meet up. My bro and I are just going to head to the Gyrospheres if you want to come.' I took a seat in the car and texted him back telling him I'll meet him there, and I began my journey to the park.
