5:12 Pm.

I had just finished getting ready for the date when Dele called me and said he was on his way to come pick me up.

I smiled at myself in the mirror, I decided to go for something more comfortable and simple it was an evening date anyway, so I opted for a black off shoulder lose romper with gladiator sandals.

I packed my hair in a bun and did my edge, I put on my trusty cherry lip gloss and finished off with my transparent white glasses.

Simple. But Cute.

I took the black bead I made for him some time ago but I completely forgot all about it so I wasn't able to give it to him. I've been taking bead making classes online so I decided to just make him a friendship bracelet with the words . CALEB. On the white beads I put in the middle.

I put it in a little black box, hoping he would like the gift.

I'm here🙄.

my phone beeped, I picked it up and saw a text from him, ignoring the butterflies having a fiesta in my stomach I took another look at myself in the mirror before heading out.

I saw his black rover packed at the exact spot he dropped me off last night, with a little smile playing in my lips i shyly made my way to the car.

"Hi," I smiled at him when I got into the front sit.

"Hey," he returned the smile. "You look very nice." He complimented

I flushed, "You look nice too."

"Yea? But not as nice as you obviously," he teased.

"Oh I'm flattered, is thee Bamidele Bright complimenting me?" I feigned surprise keeping a hand on my chest.

He laughed, "Well you should get used to it, because there's plenty from where that came from."

I nudged him softly. "Heyyyyy." I said in a sing song voice

He chuckled, starting the engine. "Heyyyy." He mimicked me playfully.

I folded my arm. " I don't sound like that."

"You're right. You wish you sounded like that."

I slapped his arm hard. "Not funny."

He flinched "Damn, your hand is painful."

I stuck my tongue out at him. "Serves you right."

"So tell me about this Books&Coffee place." I queried.

"It's like this place where you know, you go to like maybe get a drink or something, you fee read one or two books from their library, I don't know sha, from what my friends say it's a nice place for a date or hangout, you get? Especially if you enjoy reading books or shit. I don't know if that make sense." He glanced at me before turning his attention back on the road.

The way he switched from pidgin to normal English made me laugh a little.

"Makes sense, I do love to read." I said.

He smiled triumphantly. "Thought as much."

I shrugged, "But coffee? Not so much ."

A frown washed over his features. "Oh, well we could go somewhere else i guess."

I shook my head. "No. I want to go there, the name sounds aesthetically pleasing ."

He laughed softly under his breath. "Aesthetically pleasing." He repeated.

It just dawned to me that we were going on a coffee date in the evening.

I chuckled, "Yep. I want to take cute pictures of us together to post on my Instagram. Plus, I just want to spend time with you. Doesn't really matter where so far it's with my best friend I'm good." I didn't mean to sound poetic and stuff but that's exactly how I felt.
