As me and neteyam got closer to the group we began hearing the words being said.

"Freak"

"Alien"

I was fuming and neteyam began speed walking towards them. He immediately shoved aonung back.

"You heard what she said, leave them alone."

"Aww bug brother comi-" aonungs friend began speaking but was later stopped by aonung.

After silence aonung raised his hands up as if he was surrendering.

"Smart choice, and from now on I need you to respect my sister. " he turned around and we all walked away.

I glared at aonung before following them.

"See their all freaks, the whole family" he continued, laughing with his friends.

Lo'ak then stopped walking and began walking back to the boys.

"Lo'ak" neteyam called

"Don't worry I got it"

He stood in front of aonung. "I know this hand is funny looking. Alien right? But it can do something pretty cool. " aonung smirked at him. "First I ball it up real tight... And then" he punched aonung in the face multiple times causing him to fall back.

Great

Aonung and his friends hissed at lo'ak and began charging at him. Next thing you know it a whole fight is breaking out.

I looked to neteyam and saw him scratch his head, he ended up making his mind and helped his brother.

Me and kiri just watched the group of boys attack each other.

"This is so stupid! " I huffed out in annoyance. Kiri just stood behind me giggling at their behavior.

"You should go do something tì" kiri nudged me closer.

Quiet frankly I didn't want to help but she was right they were just gonna keep going.

"Can you guys cut it out! " I yelled as they all froze. I looked at them in disbelief.

"You guys are such idiots" I walked up to  aonung and lo'ak and shoved aonung off of him. "Get up"

I turned around to see neteyam already standing up. "Go to dad" I told the two boys before looking back at aonung, disgust in my eyes. "I thought you were a good person" I spoke to him before leaving.

I walked away from the group and made my way back to the marui. I walked into the marui where neteyam and kiri were helping mom with cleaning up.

"There you are I saved some dinner for you" my mom smiled at me and passed me my food.

"Thank you mom"

I began eating. "Hey where's lo'ak? " I
turned to kiri and neteyam.

"Dad is making him apologize to aonung" kiri explained

"What? But why? " I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Because he's  'the cheifs son' " neteyam shrugged his shoulders.

"I can't believe aonung would do that, I thought he was a good person" I sighed and finished up my food.

"Seems like all he does is cause problems" neteyam stood up and laid on his hammock.

-

I was out looking for shells with tuk when I noticed in the corner of my eye neteyam holding aonung by his braid shoving him towards our marui.

"Come tuk let's go inside" I held her hand and walked to the marui.

"Tell him what you told me. " I could hear neteyams voice, he spoke firmly.

I walked out to see what was happening.

"What's going on? " I looked at aonung and neteyam. My dad stood up and glared at aonung waiting for his answer.

Aonung looked at me before looking back at my dad "we left lo'ak outside the reef" he looked down ashamed, as he should be.

"You what?! " I shouted

"It was just a joke I thought he would have came back by now" he defended himself.

"Tì alert the oloeyktan we need to fine him!" My dad instructed me as I ran out to their marui.

-

It had been hours since lo'ak had gone missing and I was starting to get extremely worried.  "It's okay we'll find him" neteyam pat my back.

"It's eclipse, he doesn't know the ocean " I stared out to the ocean in hopes of seeing the teen.

"Don't worry tì" he rubbed my shoulder when suddenly the horn sounded

"The boy has been found! " me and neteyam immediately ran to the dock where everyone was.

"Let's get a look at you" my dad examined lo'aks body "he's okay, just a few scratches" he announced.

"I pray for the strength I will not pluck the eyeballs out of my youngest son" my mom hissed at lo'ak

"No, my son knows better than to take him out to sea, the blame is his. " tonowari pushed aonung down so that he was kneeling.

"No" lo'ak began "it's my fault, I wanted to go out and aonung tried to stop me" I furrowed my eyebrows at him, even aonung looked confused.

Why was he defending aonung?

"That's enough" my dad took lo'ak to our marui.

I followed them and my dad began lecturing lo'ak. "You've brought shame to this family"

"Can I go now? " lo'ak asked and was then excused.

Jeez.
