I woke up a little earlier than I usually do today. Im not really sure why but it feels like I was almost too excited to stay asleep?

"You're up early" my mom smiled at me as she made breakfast.

"Yeah" I stood up and sat next to her and began helping with the food.

"Did you enjoy last night, the festival was nice"

I thought about it and remembered the whole thing with tsuti. But then I remembered everything with aonung. "Yeah, it was fun"

I was supposed to hang out with aonung later today and I was excited for it?

After I finished cutting up some fruit I walked outside and sat on the pathway, dangling my feet into the water.

A couple minutes later someone sat down next to me.

"You're gonna hang out with him today?" I turned to my left to neteyam eating some of the fruit I cut up.

I nodded.

"When? "

"Around eclipse time"

"What are you guys gonna do?"

"I don't know" I shrugged

"Why not? "

I furrowed my eyebrows at him "why are you me asking so many questions? "

"Because I'm your older brother, I should know"

I chuckled "well as my older brother you shouldn't worry"

"If he does anything tell me" he stood up and walked into the marui

"Hey what is that supposed to mean?! " I followed him inside.

It was almost eclipse and I had finished getting ready. I decided to put on a traditional omatikayan top and loincloth. Kiri had insisted that I put pearls in my braids so I had some scattered around.

My dad had just came back from fishing and he looked at me funny. "Why are you all dressed up? "

"I was gonna go hang out with a friend"

"Who? " here we go again with all the questions.

"Aonung"

"The oloeyktan's boy?" I nodded.

He opened his mouth like he was going to say something but he didn't. "You have fun, be safe"

I then saw aonung walk up to the entrance. I waved at him and walked outside.

"Hey" he smiled

"Hi"

"Oh, uhm this is for you" he revealed a beautiful flower in his hand and began putting it in my hair.

"Thank you" I smiled at his gesture.

"Let's get going then I have somewhere I wanna take you" he offered his hand which I took and we began walking towards the beach.

"So how's your day been? " he smiled at me

"Its been good" I left out the part where I was Interigated by my dad and older brother. "How about you? "

"Tiring, I had oloeyktan training all day, but im happy I get to end the day off hanging out with you" he smiled but still kept his eyes to the direction we were walking. "We're here"

He pointed to a cave, not too big but not too small. It had a stream that connected out to the ocean and a mixture of plants and sand on the ground.

"This is where I like to hang out when I just want time for myself. I've only told rotxo about this place" he walked in and sat down while patting the spot next to him

"You've never told anyone at all other than rotxo? " he nodded "not even tsireya? " he nodded. "Why would you bring me here, it seems like a very important place to you"

"I guess I just wanted to show you" he shrugged.

We kept looking at each other but aonung looked like he was really looking "why are you looking at me like that? " I giggled

"I like what you did with your hair" he pointed to the pearls.

"Thank you" I smiled which he returned

"May I? " he reached his hand out and I nodded, he then took one of the stands that had a pearl on it and began inspecting it almost. "This is very beautiful, like you"

I was in such a state of shock I couldn't say anything. I just sat there blushing. Quick say something!

"Have you ever thought about wearing your hair down? " I asked him

He shrugged "I have and I do sometimes but its quite the hastle"

"I'd like to see it down sometime" he chuckled at my comment

"Ill do it just for you then" he smiled at me

It had been 3 hours since we first got to the cave and it was getting pretty late so we both decided that we should head back.

"Im glad we got to hang out today, it was fun" I looked up at him and smiled.

"Me too" he smiled as well.

"Well, I'll see you tomorrow possibly? " I dragged my sentence out not really knowing what to say.

"Yeah you most likely will, I have no training"

"Okay I hope to see you then"

"I hope to see you too" he tucked a strand of hair behind my ear before trailing his hand to my cheek and caressing it. "I enjoyed our date, Ill see you tomorrow tìlor" and then he left.

Wait, it was a date?
