Ricky walked into the apartment, dropping his heavy satchel on the table. He'd bought three new brushes and a clean palette to cheer him self up on his way home. The next thing he needed was a hot cup of coffee. He went straight to the fridge, opened it, and was greeted with mostly empty shelves.

All that was left was butter, a few bottles of juice, and bread (that Big Red insisted on leaving in the fridge no matter how many times Gina and Ricky told him not to). All of it was useless, though. He was looking to make a cup of coffee.

Or, at least make himself a decent snack. Yet nothing was there. But, for some reason, he could smell kernels.

"Did you forget to get milk?" Gina called to him, from where she sat on the couch with Big Red.

Ricky was hoping they had gone to bed early—

It was almost eleven and they had a movie on, and they were watching it in the dark, digging into a big bowl of popcorn between both of them.

He walked over, grabbing the bowl, and squeezing in between them.

"Ricky..." Big Red groaned, scooting up. It was a tighter squeeze with all three of them on a two-seater.

"'M sorry," he said, stuffing a hand of popcorn in his mouth, a satisfied smile on his face when he realized he was chewing toffee flavor.

Ricky kept the bowl on his lap, throwing single pieces of popcorn in his mouth as he watched RDJ walk onto the screen. He groaned, making another trick shot, munching, "You're watching Avengers again?"

"Different movie," they both corrected him, at the same time.

"How'd you forget the milk?" Gina asked, snatching the bowl of popcorn back out of Ricky's hands, spilling kernels onto his lap.

He ate the popcorn out of his lap, smiling.  "I dunno...guess I got distracted." He looked at them and saw his answer wasn't good enough. "Natalie was late again."

"You should've told us..." Big Red reached over to take the bowl, clutching it before Ricky could. "We've been waiting all night for you."

"You didn't have to stay up. I'm a DC guy."

"We know," they chimed again, annoyed.

"Well, what is it?"

Gina was holding back a bigger smile underneath through mouthfuls of popcorn.

"What?" Ricky asked again, and he looked at Big Red, who was smiling bigger than Gina was, not hiding it between his own mouthfuls.

"I only didn't tell you because I knew you were still getting over what happened to Lily, and I didn't want to shove it in your face..." Big Red explained, gently. "But, now that you've got the app, and you've found your soulmate—"

"Come on. Just tell me, dude."

"I got matched!" Big Red smiled, letting go of the popcorn to make jazz hands.
