"Okay, [Name]. Can you see through it?"
The gentle voice of Kocho's voice brought [Name] back to focus on her check up. Her mind has been wandering off lately.
More than usual.
Opening the injured eye all she could see was blurry. Luckily, she didn't go completely blind or else Kocho would have taken out the eye so it didn't bother anymore.
"It's unclear— everything, I mean." [Name] said, staring off into nothing. Shinobu noticed [Name]'s absent mind and tried cheering her up.
She cared deeply for the girl. Shinobu was the one [Name] saw for the first time after she had passed out on that day.
"That's good." A soft smile spread across her face, "okay, close your right eye for me and tell me what you see. Alright?"
The teen just nodded and put one of her hand over her eye and tried her best to describe the pictures Shinobu showed her.
After seeing the frown [Name] contorted her face into she sighed, Kocho sat down next to her. [Name] leaned into her side while the older woman tried to comfort her.
"Will it fully turn blind?"
The question snapped Shinobu back into reality, looking down at [Name] who glanced at her with a deep frown.
"Someday, perhaps." Shinobu just said, pushing [Name]'s hair behind her ear that fell down. "But, it's okay. The good thing is that you're healthy [Name]. I wouldn't know what to do if you're not. Imagine the girls reactions."
[Name] chuckled at what she said, remembering how worried the three butterfly girls were, plus Aoi and Kanao.
"Now." Kocho suddenly announced and stood up, "I can't look after you for a while I have important stuff to do..so I won't be able to set you off."
"That's alright. I'll be fit in no time!" [Name] showed her a smile with thumbs up.
Kocho grinned at her and pulled out something from the desk. It was an eyepatch, fancy designed which had a cool pattern sewn onto it. "I made this for you, I don't know if you want to wear it or not.. but I think it'll fit you."
"Thank you, Kocho!"
She took it into her hands and put it on running immediately to the next mirror, admiring the cool design which suited her a lot.

"Genya?"
[Name] stared at the boy who she bumped into after turning the corner.
"[Name]!" He exclaimed, swiftly turning his gaze down to the floor. "I was looking for you actually."
"You were?" She titled her head, hair strains falling onto her face. Only then he noticed her wearing an eyepatch, a look of concern replaced his look.
"Are you alright? Is your eye okay?" He wanted to reach out to her but hesitated and pulled his arm back.
[Name] nodded and told him everything was fine. "I just can't see very well through it. It could've turn out worse, y'know."
They both started walking, no particular destination in mind just where their feet would take them to.
Both of them found themselves in the garden at the pond. They took the opportunity to sit down and talk for a bit about random stuff.
The sky was getting dark and [Name] noticed her crow flying over head until it crash landed onto her lap.
"Ryo!"
[Name] chuckled and Genya couldn't help but admire her laugh. Ryo immediately began to Caw at her, "Mission! mission! Head south!"
She sighed and let him flutter off to who knows where. [Name] only just recovered and had to head off to yet another life dangerous mission. Genya could tell her thoughts and put an arm around her.
"Don't worry! I'll come with you." He said with a smile while looking down at her. [Name] grinned, "no you won't. I can do this alone."
"That wasn't a suggestion."
With a swift motion he was laying out on the floor while [Name] was standing grinning mischievously down at him now.
"If you want, pretty boy, then come with me." She mused and walked off to get her uniform and sword.
Genya — still on the ground— was looking off into the sky. Blossom decorated his cheeks, processing that she just had called him pretty. A small smile spread onto his lips as he got up, following after her.
Inside [Name] was already in her uniform putting on the haori and adjusting the sword hilt around the belt.
Turning her head towards him she did a quick motion that she was ready and they both headed out to their mission.

I'm honestly losing interest in KNY right now maybe because I'm concentrating on jjk but I promise you I'll get this done.
Next chapters will be just you and Genya getting closer with each other and [Name] will eventually start to realize her feeling for him too.
