Miguel felt finally complete. Since he confessed his love, he felt more drawned by her. Usually late night they would stay up on the couch, watching a movie together with her head on his shoulder. Sometimes they would go on a walk, with their hands brushing and sometimes holding together.
Now him, Gabriella and Y/n were having lunch with some pasta. He couldn't help but keep looking at teh nanny with loving eyes. And the woman felt his eyes on her all the time.
Gabriella, meanwhile, didn't seem bothered at all by his father behavior. That evening, Conchata came over to spend time with all of them.
<<How is my favorite person in the world doing?>> she exclaimed, entering the house. Miguel held the door while she got in <<I am doing good, mama.>>.
She ignored him and walked straight to hug Gabriella, saying teasling <<I was talking about my granddaughter.>> and the child giggled.
Miguel scoffed and rolled his eyes, as Y/n smiled amused <<Jealous?>>.
<<I am not.>> he stated coldly, crossing his arms and he had an annoyed look on his face by his mother's behavior.
God, this man couldn't understand a joke.
Conchata turned and asked <<So you called me because you needed someone to be with Gabri while you two are gone?>> the she looked at Y/n and Miguel.
Y/n expression frowned and looked at her confused, as Miguel nodded. Y/n glanced at Miguel with an bewildered expression on her face as he immediately answered <<I was thinking of taking you out, what do you say?>> he asked. Then he specified who would be there <<Just me and you.>>.
Y/n tried her best to do not blush and nod, accepting <<Yes, why not?>>.
In that moment, Conchata smiled and picked her granddaughter up <<Well then niña, let's go watch a movie, shall we?>> she asked, walking to the couch as Gabriella exclaimed, wanting to watch Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.
Y/n and Miguel remained alone in the kitchen, still talking about the going out, aka their date <<So where you wanted to go?>> she asked curiously now, waiting for him to respond. He got closer and said <<I was thinking of a nice spot on the hill, we could just have a pic-nic there. It's a nice day after all.>>. She blushed at the thought of being alone with him, curiously thinking of what would happen after <<Hm, fine by me.>> she nodded, as he took her hands in his. He tried to show his affection towards her, even though he tried to hold himself to do something too much or stupid in that moment. He gently kissed her knuckles as if she was a someone important, like a princess or whatever <<Great, I can't wait... hermosa.>> he whispered the last word in an affectionate way that made her blush. She didn't exactly knew what it meant but she sury knew it was a compliment. She assumed it by his lovingly look and the kisses on her hands.
<<I'll go get prepared.>> she said, nodding and still blushing. He smiled softly <<I'll prepare the food, I'll wait for you here.>> he said, then he left her hands before he walked in her bedroom to change herself. Meanwhile Miguel prepared everything they could need: food, drinks, two glasses, some tissues, and a dessert. And he put everythjng in a basket.
When she comes back, she is wearing a simple blue dress, with white shoes and her bag. Miguel couldn't help but stare at her with admiration, even dressed so simple, he loved what he saw.
<<We are heading out, mama.>> Miguel said, holding the door for Y/n to pass first. Gabriella was still watching the TV as Conchata answered <<Fine. Ah mijo, I suggest you to take an umbrella with you.>> she said. Miguel rolled her eyes <<Mama, it's a nice day. It's not gonna rain. See you later.>> he said, before heading out and closing the door.Miguel and Y/n, walked to the hill. They arrive with a basket full of delicious food and drinks. The sky was a beautiful azure color with some clouds around.
<<It's so beautiful.>> she said. He nodded <<I couldn't agree more. Let's settle all down, shall we?>> he asked with a smile and she agreed. Together they layed a blanket on the green grass, sitting on it and opening the basket and taking the food. She was surprised of how many things he put in it <<There is a variety of food.>> she pointed out. He nodded <<I wanted everything to be perfect for today.>> she nodded, looking at her with a loving look. She blushed and stroked his arm <<It is already, thank you.>>.
The prepared everything and they started eating, talking about themselves: of their childhood, their lives, their emotions.
It looked like they were perfect for each other. But just before they could even finish their food, raindrops start falling lightly from the sky on them. They exchanged disappointed glances and decide to pack up and head back home.
<<I don't want it to get worse.>> he admitted, as they quickly put everything back in the basket.
As they hurry to gather their belongings, the rain intensifies, drenching them both. Laughter mingles with the sound of rain as they run hand in hand, seeking shelter from the downpour. They spot a shelter of a palace nearby and rush towards it, seeking refuge from the storm.Under the shelter of the palace, their wet clothes cling to their bodies, but their spirits remain high. Both of wthem eere soaked wet from head to toes, their basket too.
Miguel, frustrated by their luck, started swearing in Spanish <<Ay coño!>> he exclaimed. Miguel continued <<¡Maldita lluvia! Me he empapado por completo.>> his words punctuated by a mix of annoyance and anger.
Y/n, looking at him with a mischievous glint in her eyes, finds his outburst endearing and chuckles softly.
He turned, facing her amused churckle, asking <<¿Por qué te estás riendo? ¡Estoy jodidamente empapado!>>.
As the rain continues to pour, Y/n's amusement turns into a tender admiration. He was still looking at her with an annoyed expression, since his date got ruined.
Unable to resist the connection between them any longer, she takes Miguel's face in her hands and pulls him closer. He got surprised and, in a moment of passion, she kisses him.
Their lips meeting amidst the sound of raindrops and the echoes of Miguel's Spanish curses.
It was a delicate, passionate exchange, filled with warmth and tenderness. Their lips moved in sync, conveying a depth of emotion that words could never capture. It was a first kiss that left them both breathless, igniting a spark that would forever linger in their memories.
He said "I love you" first.
She kissed him first.
Their kiss was a testament to the intensity of their feelings for each other, a culmination of the shared adventure and their growing love. In that moment, time seems to stand still as the rain washes away their worries, leaving only the warmth of their affection and the promise of a future together.
