After three months of Gabriella playing in the soccer club, the coach suggested to make her play a real game with her teammates against others soccer club's people. Gabriella didn't even hesitate but accept immediately.
Gabriella was a girl who loved competition and, anytime she had the possibility, she would do it.In fact, the day of her first game, she was so excited that she couldn't stay still. Miguel and Y/n were taking her to the place where the game was going to be. As Miguel drove, Gabriella kept moving in the backseat.
<<Mija, stay still.>> he said, as he was focused driving. She tried to but after a bit she kept moving again <<I am so excited, papa. It's my first game and the coach said I am ready!>> she smiled, explaining her reason of why she was so lively.
The nanny smiled and turned her head from the road to the child in the backseat <<Yes, and she is surely right. But please stay still a little while, your dad has to focus to drive.>> she asked her that small task as the child smiled at her praise, and nodded to obey her request.
After a while they arrived to the place. It was a gigant soccer field, and already so many parents were on the stands, ready to take video or photos for the game.
Gabriella was ready, already wearing the uniform of her team: white shorts, a purple shirt and her soccer shoes. Her brown hair were tied up in a ponytail, and also she had a white hair band.
As she saw her team, she said goodbye to her father and her nanny, running to them.
<<Shall we find a good spot?>> he asked, pointing to the spalts. The nanny nodded and, hand in hand, they sat somewhere to have a better view of the game that was about to start.Meanwhile Gabriella's team and the othet team warmed up, Miguel glanced over his lover, asking <<You know soccer's rules?>>. She nodded <<I am not the biggest fan of this game, but I know the basic rules of it.>> she glanced over the field, pointing at Gabriella <<What role she has?>> she asked.
<<Gabriella is a midfielder, so her role is to support both offense and defense.>> he explained. He looked like he was a soccer dad himself <<She'll be controlling the ball and finding opportunities to pass it to her teammates or shoot for a goal.>>
Y/n nodded, absorbing the information. <<It's all about teamwork and strategy.>> she said.
Miguel grinned <<Exactly. It's a game that requires coordination, communication, and quick thinking.>> he explained even better <<If you try to play soccer by yourself, you'll surely lose.>>.
As the referee blew the whistle, signaling the start of the game, Y/n's eyes zeroed in on Gabriella. With finesse and agility, she maneuvered the ball effortlessly, showcasing her technical skills. Her passes created fluidity within the team, enabling them to advance towards the opponent's net.
Gabriella's determination shone bright as she weaved through the rival's defense, utilizing her incredible ball control. The crowd erupted in cheers as she made an exquisite shot, narrowly missing the goal. Undeterred, she continued her relentless efforts, inspiring her teammates to push harder.
Y/n's heart swelled with pride as she watched Gabriella exhibit strength, passion, and immense sportsmanship. Despite the challenges they faced, their team fought fiercely, seamlessly working together to create scoring opportunities and provide a solid defense.
Finally, with impeccable timing and coordination, Gabriella received a perfect assist from a teammate and launched the ball towards the net. The crowd held its breath as the ball soared into the air before beautifully nestling into the top right corner, beyond the goalkeeper's reach. The stadium erupted in deafening cheers and applause, overwhelmed by the spectacle.
As the game progressed, Gabriella's team continued to dominate. Their strategy, skill, and tenacity proved to be superior as they outplayed their opponents. Through a combination of precise passes, smart positioning, and remarkable teamwork, they secured a total of three goals.
When the final whistle blew, declaring their triumph, Y/n and Miguel jumped to their feet, roaring with exhilaration. Gabriella and her teammates exchanged hugs, reflecting the sheer joy and accomplishment that radiated from their faces. Gabriella smiled as she glanced over her father and her nanny with a big and excited smile.
Y/n turned to Miguel, eyes shining with pride <<She truly gave her all.>>
Miguel nodded, his voice filled with admiration <<It was a well-deserved win.>>he admitted. With joyful hearts and a renewed sense of camaraderie, as the other parents, Y/n and Miguel joined the euphoric crowd too to bask in the glory of the victorious soccer team.
They got down the spalts, going to the girl. As her team left her hug, their coach took for both of the teams some food to celebrate that game: cupcakes, piece of cakes, drinks. The children, tired and hungry, immediately got there and started eating. As Gabriella grabbed a cupcake, she ran to her father.
Y/n was ready to record this moment, taking out her phone and started recording the happy moment.
Gabriella ran to Miguel, hugging him tightly. Miguel hugged his daughter back, picking her up and then placing her on his shoulders as she moved happily and singed happily <<We won! We won!>> he giggled, as Y/n kept recording them <<We did it!>>.
Y/n smiled, saying <<We are both proud of you.>>. Gabriella smiled, her eyes sparkled <<Thank you!>>. The child was moving too much and Miguel chuckled. Suddently Gabriella got his father's face dirty with the cream of the cupcake. She laughed, along with the nanny, as she looked surprised, but he smiled at it. Gabriella kept moving and singing victory.
Miguel grabbed her hips and picked her up <<Alright alright, mija.>> putting her down. Gabriella giggled and ate her cupcake and went to her friends, as Y/n was still recording.
He giggled and tried to clean himself up. The nanny got closer and, with a tissue, she tried to help him.
He looked at her with a soft expression <<Muy gracias, mi amor.>> he whispered. She smiled <<No problem, my love.>> whispered back lovingly.
