The padder fills my ears,
thumping away on the roof.
The window is open,
and I can smell the sweet earthy smell brought with the storm.
A breeze blows,
and I can feel wet specks across my arm as I reach for the window.
The day has a shade of blue and it calms me.
I close my eyes as my hand still presses against the window.
I exhale and smile a little. My hand pulls and the window lowers slowly.
