Johnny POV
I woke up to Ponyboy light shaking me. A slowly stood up rubbing my eyes. I looked over at the time realizing it was almost school time. I stood up grabbing a small piece of chocolate cake to eat before I walked out. It was Monday today, probably the worst day of the week. Well…every day when you have to go to school is the worst. Except for those Fridays where the teachers are too tired to do something, I like those. Those days are rare though because half of the teacher down a coffee before they get there. I swear you can spell their coffee breath from 5 feet away.
"Steve's waiting for us in his car" We walked out getting in the car. Steve drove us to school and dropped us off, we walked in together.
Study Hall
Me and ponboy had a study hall together. Thank God. I don't think I could sit in a class where all you're allowed to do is homework without a friend for 25-30 minutes (idk how long it is). Even with Ponboy it was kinda boring. Half the time he was going on and on about Cherry and the other half he was looking at Cherry. If he's not doing either of those things he's doing homework.
"You think Cherry changed her hair? It looks different" I look over at her. I didn't really pay attention to her until we had a project together in class. Then again I didn't really even like her. Ponboy liked her..and I didn't like that. I don't know why though. He can have other friends, it's not like I'm his only friend. But seeing him talk about her and smile at her had me so jealous.
"I don't know Pone.." I groaned to myself. Cherry looked back at Ponyboy and smiled at him. Christ. I wish I could swipe that stupid fucking smile off her face. Pony smiled back. I felt something that I wasn't sure what it was. I didn't like admitting to things but I would admit to myself that I was jealous of how much the Pony liked Cherry.
