Johnny's POV:
I decided to get ready at Bucks with Dally's help. I couldn't do it at my house, they had too many questions. I knew I would somehow slip up a reveal to them I was going out with a boy..maybe someday my boy. If my parents knew they would probably beat my ass, no…I know they would either way. Dallas came up with a suit, my size and everything. He handed it to me along with some pants.

"Dallas where'd you get this?" I knew Dallas didn't ever spend his own money. He only got things he wanted with aggression or stealing.

"I have my ways." He walked out the room and closed the door to let me get dressed. I got dressed and walked out fidgeting with my hands. I was really nervous and apparently it was really obvious. Dallas put a hand on my shoulder.

"It's gonna be alright Johnny, why so nervous?" I looked up at him. I knew I could trust him.

"Dallas I think I like ponyboy…like like him" I looked down to the floor and nervously waited for a response.

"That great man! You should tell him" Him and Johnny began walking out the door.

"Yeah right" I shook my head.

"I'm a serious man! I'm sure he likes you back!!" We got into Dally's car. I thought to myself for a moment.

"You think?"

"I know.." We began driving to the school

Ponyboys POV:

Me and Johnny had agreed to meet at the school. The thought of going out to homecoming with Johnny gave me butterflies. I pushed them back and figured I was just excited for my first homecoming dance..with johnny. I wasn't gonna keep lying to myself. The real reason I'm so excited is Johnny. I went into my room to get dressed. I looked at myself in the mirror and I didn't like what I saw, I never did. I put my blue suit on and looked back in the mirror. Why am I so ugly…My stomach growled, it hurt.

"Shit.." I held my stomach. I walked over to the bathroom to do my hair. Once I finished fixing my hair, I walked outside, Darry was in his car waiting for me.
