A Life Moving Forward Part 2
Juanita-Juanita was at her new house setting everything up when there was a knock on the door. It was Lorenzo.
"Lorenzo, Mother, I just wanted to see if you need anything."
"Thanks, I'm all set. How's the wedding?"
"Skye did most of the work. I just wrote the checks."
"Why don't I make us some tea?"
They sit down.
"No, it's okay."
"Do you love Skye?"
"Yes. Skye accepts me for who I am and my lifestyle. Our relationship hasn't been perfect, but both of us are okay with it."
"I'm glad you found love. I never thought you would get over Sophia."
"Me either, but I did when I met Skye."
"Good. I want to try to have a relationship with you."
"Thanks, Lorenzo. I know this is hard. I know you had a relationship with your father."
"Yes, I did. I need to ask you something."
"What?"
"Did Luis die?"
"Yes."
"Good. He hurt too many people last time he was here."
"Well, I'll see you tonight."
Lorenzo left. Juanita made a phone call.
"I need you to stay away for now."
At The Quartermaine crypt, Alan was there.
"Mother, Father, today is Lila Rae's wedding. I want to give her this necklace -- the one you gave Mother. Skye isn't a Quartermaine, but she has helped our family."
AJ came in, saw his gravestone, and threw an axe at his monument.
"Does that feel good?"
"Yes! Do you want to do it for yourself?"
"AJ, you need to let go of the anger. I was at first, but I saw Dr. Collins, and it helped."
"I'm trying. I just miss so much time with my son."
"I know, but now you can make it up."
"I'm not letting anything ruin my relationship with Michael."
"Good."
At the church, Lila Rae was getting ready for her wedding, and Skye was helping her.
"You look so beautiful."
"Thanks, Mother."
As there was a knock on the door, it was Alan and Monica.
"Lila Rae, we love you like a granddaughter. We want to give you something that belongs to Lila, your namesake."
Lila Rae opened the box; it was a necklace.
"It's beautiful. Thank you."
"You're welcome. We wish you well. Marriage is hard work, but you can get through it."
"Yes."
Monica and Alan left as Rae came into the room.
"Lila Rae, I have something blue."
Lila Rae opened it; it was a blue handkerchief that belonged to her mother.
"Thanks."
"You're how you look, so beautiful."
"Thanks. I'm glad you're my grandmother."
"Me too."
Spencer was inside the church when Lorenzo came by.
"Spencer, I know we had our disagreements about your love for my daughter, but I just don't want Lila Rae to get hurt."
"I understand that. I love your daughter."
"I know you do."
