Chapter 34

Charlie POV

"Charlie! Taylor! How long have you been dating?" I squeezed Taylor's hand tightly "Charlie! Can you tell us anything about Taylor's next re-record?" "Taylor! Give us a smile!" My girl squeezed my hand back, wrapping her arm around me as we made out way into her studio. As soon as the door shut we both let out a breath of relief. "You alright darling? I know that's not easy." I flashed a smile and nodded, getting a bag of peanuts from the vending machine. I tried my best not to look at the calories but ended up caving and flipping the bag over, feeling my mind begin to spin at the numbers. "Charlie baby your okay. The peanuts aren't gonna cause you any harm, remember?" Taking in a shaky breath I nodded and watched as she opened the bag and took a serving size amount in her hand "Look, see? Nothing happened." She demonstrated which made my breathing calm. Nodding unsure I took the same size into my hand and ate them while following her to the recording booth with Jack. "Hey! This is Charlie. Charlie this is Jack." The man and I shook hands and then I settled onto the couch in the corner to watch my girl record. My heart swelled with pride as she sang, simply staring in awe. Is this a dream? Jack chuckled "You two really are meant for each other." Which made my cheeks darken, am I that obvious? "Huh?" I questioned. "Oh don't play dumb, your swooning over her." ".....yeah" I chuckled and took a picture of her recording in the booth. She seemed completely at peace, singing her heart out. We stayed there for a while until eventually she finished up and we went to lunch with Jack. About halfway through the meal I heard a small voice "E'scuse me?" Taylor and I both turned to find a small boy no older than 7 standing at the end of the table. "Can I has a picture?" He asked and Taylor immediately nodded "of course sweetheart. What's your name?" I could see his face brighten "I'm Jackson. Can yous be in the picture too?" He asked pointing at me. "Are you sure hun?" I confirmed and he nodded enthusiastically. Kneeling next to him with Taylor his Mom snapped the picture before ushering him back to their table. "Thank you so much. Jackson has a speech impediment and gets bullied in school. He fell in love with dance and music because of you two, you saved his life." Taylor hugged her as did I. "He's a sweet boy." "You've got a good kid on your hands. Send me a video of him dancing, I think I can pull some strings." I whispered the last part. "Oh my god your going to MAKE HIS YEAR" I laughed and hugged her one last time before she left to go back to the table. "What do you mean 'pull some strings'?" Jack asked me. "I've got a few friends in the dance industry who owe me a favor." He nodded and we continued eating.
