The House of Virran is a known and respected family. Most of the member of the house were elite knights, serving the king and protecting the kingdom and its people.

Kelvhan Virran, the next lord of the house is celebrating his twenty fourth birthday with a grandiose celebration full of noble men in their gallant and dashing suits. Meanwhile women and the young ladies of the other noble houses were wearing beautiful extravagant gowns and expensive sparkling heavy jeweleries. Talking and laughing in a very lady-like manner. Standing and making gestures with utmost sophistication, while silently competing with one another.

It's a night of elegance and power, establishing connection with the higher circle whilst bragging social status.

"The lady of house Gardose is indeed a beauty. You're truly 'the prettiest Maiden of North'." Lady Lorelie smiled sweetly after earning praises. Enjoying the attention she is getting.

"Even lady Adelaide couldn’t compete."

"Words has wings lady Naomi, some broken filthy mouth might send your regards to lady Adelaide."

The Philips had caused quite a bad name after Arthur Philips became the head of the noble house. Arthur's illicit affair with the late marchioness' lady-in-waiting, Miranda tainted the good reputation built by the previous head of the house Philips. Rumour has it that the previous marchioness was maltreated and unfavored.

The talk further flared when the death of the marchioness was announced, fuelling another rumour that the marchioness isn't terminally ill but were killed. It intensified and stirred the higher circle when the daughter of the marchioness never made a public appearance after her mother’s death. It is said that the young child is frail and weak but rumour also has it that she witnessed her mother's bloody death, thus the Philips hid her in a hidden dungeon. But nothing is confirm. Without evidence, a rumour is still a rumour.

"I heard the Duke of North will attend tonight." Ani Naomi

"A lot of noble families attended tonight because of that news, even young ladies swarmed."

"Trust me lady Evie, the duke is far from the rumour." Nakangiting sabi ni Lorelie na kumikislap pa ang mata ng mabanggit ang duke.

"Ohh, I can see the spark in your eyes lady Lorelie. He must be really gallant and handsome contrary to the rumours flying around."
