A Strange Hero By The Name Of Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde

CH 1- Intro

*Izuku pov*

I race into my mother's room and nearly break the door. It crashes into the wall and she shoots bolt upright in bed. I tackle her back onto the bed and squeal in happiness.

"MOM! IT'S TODAY! IT'S TODAY!" I scream.

My feet kick back and forth like machine gun fire. The sound of them is softened by the blanket they keep hitting. My mother groans but puts on a huge smile.

"Ok, let's go and see what your quirk is." she says.

I let go of her and she starts to get up.

"I forgot something."

"What?" I ask confused.

At that she leaps at me and wraps me in her arms. I cannot evade her fingers as she starts tickling me.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY IZUKU!" She shouts.

I am laughing hysterically as I try to evade the thousands of tickle attacks from her. Soon, I managed to escape and lay on the bed, out of breath.

"I am going to make some breakfast, what do you want?"

"KATSUDON!"

"Izuku, that is not a breakfast food. You know..."

"KATSUDON!" I continue to shout.

She sighs.

"Alright. I will make it for breakfast, just this once."

"YAY!"

I jump up and down on her bed with glee. Soon it was ready and I inhale my food.

"Slow down there Izu. You might get indigestion."

I ignore her and set my now empty bowl down.

"Is dad coming home today?"

With this she gets a sad look like every other time I asked about him. I have not seen him since I was very little. I don't even remember that.

"You know your father is very busy. He wishes he could come here, but..."

She leaves the rest of that sentence unsaid. She had told me the same line every time I asked about him. She did not even know his quirk. One day he left her for a 'business opportunity' in the states and has never come back. I was three months old at the time.

In order to cheer up my mother, I asked her about something that I was excited about.

"What time are we going to the doctors?"

"We will go after you get bathed and dressed."

"But MOOOM! I don't need a bath."

"Uh-ah-ahh! You had Katsudon for breakfast. The sooner you get your bath, the sooner we leave."

I thought for a millisecond before jumping from my seat.

"OK! BE READY IN FIVE MINUTES!"

I race into the bathroom and turn on the water.

I was bouncing up and down in my chair. I was just tested by the doctor and we were waiting for the results.

"Izuku, calm down." my mom said.

I could not listen, I have far too much energy. My mom sighed and stroked my hair before the doctor came in.

"Ahh, Mrs. Midoriya. And young Izuku. I have your results."

I squealed in happiness and bounced even more.
