*Liberty's Pov*
Tony walked out of the room probably to go get his suit.
Steve was walking through the hallways with me in his arms. I felt so drained. Coming back to life isn't that easy you know. But I had to obey my parents wishes.
*Flashback*
It was all black.
Then I saw a white light in the distance start to grow and spread around me.
I covered my eyes because the bright white was burning my eyes. when it died down I lowered my hands. And I saw two figures walking towards me. I stayed sitting up on the ground as my eyes focused on my surroundings.
When my eyes focused on the two figures not too far away from me my eyes widened. This couldn't be real or true.
"Hey Berty!"
"Dad, Mom." I sobbed as I stood up and ran into the arms of my parents.
"Don't cry Libby, I want us all to be happy and enjoy the little time we have." My mother said.
"What do you mean? I thought I was dead?"
"Your body is in a state of healing right now, so to your friends right now you seem dead." My father said.
"Libby we want to tell you how proud we are of you and what you've become, but we must warn you the future ahead of you is going to be hard, make sure you stay close to the people like you. They will take care of you." My mother smiled.
"So you won't be here with us forever but we will be with you forever." My father said pulling me in closer."
"I love you guys so much, but I've realized now that I have a family back on earth that needs me, and I need them." I said looking at them in the eyes.
"We believe that it wasn't an accident that you got your powers, you were chosen to wield the power that you possess." my mother said. I stepped back.
"I was chosen to be experimented on? I was chosen to be tortured? I didn't want that. I didn't want to destroy the whole place where they tortured me, but they made me into something they couldn't control and neither could I. They made me into a monster."
"You couldn't control what happened that day, but every hero goes through a hard time before they become great. And when you can save the lives of innocent people that can make up for your mistakes."
"You really believe that I'm a hero?" I asked with tears in my eyes.
"Yes Berty, we love you so much and we want you to never think any less of yourself and keep fight for us promise?" My father said.
"I promise." I said as I grasped onto them. "I love you."
"Goodbye my little hero." My mother said as everything faded away.
*end of flashback.*
"Thanks Cap."
"For what?" he asked confused as he continued to walk through the hallways.
"One for carrying me and two for always being so kind to me. I haven't had a friend for a long time," she paused "if you want to be my friend."
"No problem and of course I'm your friend, we ol' timers have to stick together right?" He laughed.
"Right." I smiled and rested my head on his shoulder. He chuckled.
Steve brought us up to the door where Nat and Clint were.
"By the way you can call me Steve." He said looking at me.
"My parents always said it not very respectful to an adult by their first name."
"But now to you I'm a friend." Stave said making me smile. Then the door opened.
"Time to go." Steve said to Natasha.
"Go where?" Natasha asked confused.
"I'll tell you on the way, can you fly one of those jets?" Then a door opened and out came Clinton.
"I can." he said sending a small smile toward my direction. I slid out of caps arms and went to Clint who picked me up and hugged me.
Steve looked toward Clint then toward Nat who nodded.
"Gotta suit?" Clint nodded.
"Suit up." And he walked away giving me a smile.
"You felling better bruh?" I asked. as those word fell out of my mouth they felt really foreign. Hey don't judge I'm a 50's girl
"I should be asking you that question, you died!"
"Nah, I was technically passed out, I can't really die because I'm already dead."
"What?!"
"Oh, he missed all of that didn't he?" I asked Nat.
"All of what?!"
"Mhmmm, yes he did." Nat said as I jumped out of Clint's arms and stretched my arm towards him.
"Hello, my name in Liberty Beckett and I am 63 years old."
Clint looked shocked and confused as he shook my hand.
Then I explained everything that I had told everyone else. I was still leaving one part out cause I didn't want their pity.
"So... can I call you Berty?" Clint asked. I tensed, that's what my father always called me. Then I relaxed realizing that they would want me to get over me grief for them.
"Yeah, if you want to, or you can call me Libby."
"Alright, let's go suit up Libby." Nat said standing up.
"I don't really have a suit since you guys probably threw out my dress."
"I think Tony was working on something for you." Nat said. My eyes widened.
"Really?!" She nodded her head, and then I was gone.
