Tree house

I grabbed my stuff and followed Mike, he went into the bathroom, no one else was in their, "Mike! Seriously, what. happened." "Nothing! I swear, just please stop asking." "No Mike! Tell me, I won't brush this off my shoulder! I care about you! Please tell me.." cant believe I said I care about him, I mean he knows in a friend way? I mean like we all care about Mike! Sooo.. it's not weird! "My dad. He did this. I made the mistake of yelling at him." "Mike.." I didn't know what to say, so I hugged him. He hugged back, I can get a lot from just a hug. He feels scared and alone but I just wish I could say that 'I'm here fr you mike, always. No matter the circumstances' he means a lot to me, and to see him like this? I'm literally heartbroken. "Mike, everything is gonna be alright.." we stopped hugging and it felt like there was a moment between us? Like we were about too.. "thank you will.." he backed up and so did I after he did. The bell ringed and he had 6th period together, so we went together.

After school we all went home but instead of mike going back to his abusive dad, I insisted that he come over for a while, I didn't take no for an answer. We were chilling and chatting in my room when El and Max came in. "What y'all doinggg" "nothing?" Mike said, "wanna come to the skate park with us? It'll be soooo fun!" Max said, me and Mike looked at each other then back at them. "Sure!" I said, we Al got ready and headed down. Wasn't that far away to be honest. Max was teaching el how to stake and me and Mike saw a little ice cream place next to the skate park, so we got some ice cream. We both got chocolate. I got some on my nose and Mike laughed and took his thumb and got it all off my nose then licked his thumb. I'm melting like this ice cream, holy fuck. Like what just happened! I tried to hard not to blush and stayed very clam. On the outside. Later on we all were talking while we soon had to go our separate ways because it was getting late. We said our goodbyes and then we all went home. "So are you and Mike a thing yet?" El asked me. "What?! I-I mean what.. are you taking abouttt.." "Will it's so obvious you like each other.. and you guys will make a good couple! I'm not mad. I already like someone else.." "lemme guess.. she has red hair, blue eyes, and loves to skate?" "Shut up!!" I gave her a 'I know you like her look' "yeah yeah.. I like her.." "yeah.. I like Mike too.." we both laughed and then finally arrived at home. We said goodnight to each other and, went into our rooms and fell asleep.

The next morning I got ready and so did El and we were off to school, Mike didn't show up. I was really worried about him. I don't want him to get hurt, or even worse. I don't care if it was the middle of the day in school, and plus I have a free period right now so, I'm going to check on mike. I walked out of there with my stuff and ran to mikes house, I climbed up a tree and then climbed onto his house and knocked on his bedroom window. I couldn't see him in there, but be in the basement, I got down and grabbed my book bag and then went to the basement door, it was locked. I check the window, had to stand on my tippy  toes to see. I saw his dad yelling in mikes face, who the fuck does his dad think he is. Then his dad left. Then I heard arguing from upstairs, must be his parents. I then knocked on the door, he opened up. "Mike.." I hugged him tightly. "A-are you okay?" I took my sleeve and wiped his bloody nose. "I'm fine.. please don't tell anyone and seriously I'm okay." "Mike.. this isn't okay.." "promise me.." "Mik-""promise" "okay.. i promise.." "..come with me.. I can't let you stay here." "No will it's alright.. and I can't even go to school." "We're not going to school" he smiled and grabbed his stuff and then we ran away, to our old tree house that still stands.

"Does it still hurt?" I asked him about his nose. "A little but it's fine." I sat down beside him on this little bed we made when we were little. "He shouldn't do that you know. You should really tell someone. I don't want you to be more hurt." "Will please drop it. It's fine. I can take care of myself." "I know.."____________________________________
It was night and me and Mike were still up in that treehouse. "Aren't you parents worried about we're you are?" He said. "Nah, well.. probably but it's okay" "thank you, for uh. Being here with me. For like, giving a shit about me." I sat up on the bed and he did too. "Mike, of course I care about you. Your my best friend." I smile at him, "yeah" he smiles back. We both laid back down and we fell asleep.
