Theodore blinked twice to make sure he wasn't imagining anything. Legs?

He carefully tried to stand and managed to haul himself into some sort of bent-over position. He looked around and observed how the humans were walking.

Lift, place, lift, place.

It seemed simple enough, with an effort he managed to lift one leg before losing his balance and falling.

Ouch.

"What the freaking seahorses!" Elizabeth gaped.

He agreed with Elizabeth - this was something entirely new and harder than expected.

Diana heard voices coming from somewhere distant.

"Diana Maya Gemwater. We're coming for you. We know where you are."

"There's people coming," she whispered hurriedly to Theodore.

Stopping to listen for a moment, he frowned and then stared uncertainty at Diana.

"What?" Diana questioned, "Come on, we need to move."

Elizabeth shared a concerned look with Theodore before saying, "Diana, are you feeling alright?"

"If alright is - trying to get over your parent's death, having a wound in your back, trying to run away from the most evil pirates in the sea, and having your friends staring at you thinking you are crazy then yes, I am alright."

Theodore sighed before saying, "Diana, I can't hear anything, and we all need to rest. We can't just trudge through"

He was worried about Diana and tried to avoid her gaze. Suddenly, his thoughts clouded over again, everything became blank and he didn't know what was going on. His body was tired and heavy, and breathing became difficult...

"Theo, Theo!"

It felt like poison ivy was crawling up his body, entwining itself around his brain and polluting his mind. Searing pain shot through his body. This was not good. Theo, at least, was not clueless about what was happening. The irking feeling of when Jasper had mind-controlled him a few minutes ago was back. As soon as the feeling appeared, it dissolved, leaving his mind muddled up. In his mind, he had seemed to glimpse a view of someone else's. In this vision, dozens of ships were flying through the air; while cannon shots rang out.
