Serenity woke up with Vali holding onto her tightly. She sat up, and he curled up into her. She stretched and yawned. She sighed as she realized she was pretty much trapped between Vali and the wall. He pulled her down and wrapped his arms around her. Serenity sighed as he held her. "Vali, I love you, and I love cuddling with you, but I need to go check on Miko and Tamamo. They should be out of heat." Serenity sighed as Vali groaned. He pulled her closer and threw his leg over hers. She sighed and hoped that Persi would fly through the bedroom door. Serenity and Vali jumped as something ran into the door hard. They both heard Persi crying.
"We didn't unlock the door." Vali sighed as he moved away. Serenity and Vali rushed towards the door and unlocked it. Persi was a few feet away from the door, and she must have bounced off the door. Serenity crouched down, and she checked over Persi. The child wasn't seriously injured, and Serenity chuckled softly.
"What did you do? Bounce off it?"
"Momma, it's not funny!" Persi pouted as Serenity started to laugh.
"You know the door is always closed when we sleep." Vali shook his head as Persi huffed.
"Daddy hasn't played with me in a while." She pouted as Vali sighed as he gave in.
"Alright, Persi." Vali picked the silver haired child, and Serenity took the opportunity to ditch the two and go check on Tamamo No Mae. She knocked in the door, and it was thrown open. Serenity let out a yelp as she was pulled in the door. She was pinned against the door, and Tamamo had tears in her eyes.
"You tricked me." Tamamo sobbed against her neck.
"I'm sorry, Tama-chan. It's just that I don't want our first time to be when one of us is not in our right mindset." Serenity hummed as Tamamo nodded in understanding. "You're out of heat, so you can come out." Serenity led the kitsune out of her room. Tamamo smiled as she was led to the living room. Serenity hummed as she saw Issei, who was sitting and talking to Kunou and Yasaka. The two girls sat on the couch, and Tamamo sat in Serenity's lap.
"I see Tamamo is out of heat." Yasaka hummed. "Yet Yae Miko isn't."
"I'm Issei Hyoudou." Issei introduced himself.
"I'm Tamamo No Mae." She replied back.
"Issei." Yasaka hummed. "Who betrayed you? It wasn't Rias and her peerage, was it?"
"No. They are the ones who helped me out. Someone framed me for murder."
"Is it because of Dildora?" Serenity asked as she hugged Tamamo.
"Yeah, how did you know?"
"The cat that led you here." Serenity hummed as she set her chin on Tamamo's shoulder. "That was the Dragon of Nightmares leading you here." Yasaka sat next to Serenity, and Issei's eyes widened.
"Shalba killed him, and the Astaroth family blames me."
"Well, you're safe here." Serenity hummed as Issei nodded.
"Where's Vali? Normally, you two are inseparable."
"He's playing games with Persi." Serenity hummed.
"I see."
"Persi likes Vali more than I." Serenity pouted. The pitter patter of feet running down the hall accompanied by a child's giggle made Serenity smile. She saw Persi sprinting in, and a few minutes later, Vali came jogging in.
"I'm coming to get you, Persi!" He yelled, and Persi squealed in delight. Vali ran out of the room, and Serenity shook her head.
"He's totally letting her ahead." Issei noticed.
"Obviously." Serenity snapped, and Issei flinched.
"I'm sorry. I just thought it was sweet." Issei defended himself. Tamamo got up, and she pulled Serenity up.
"Let's go watch a movie!" Tamamo pulled Serenity, who sighed. Serenity and Tamamo made their way to Serenity's room, and she sat on the bed.
"Are we on Jurassic World?" Serenity asked as she grabbed the saga.
"Yeah." Tamamo hummed as Serenity put the movie in. She climbed into the bed and pulled Tamamo closer. The two cuddled, and they started to watch Jurassic World. Serenity heard the door open, and she noticed Le Fay.
"What is it, Fay Fay?" Serenity asked.
"Lunch is ready. We're all eating together." The magician spoke softly. Serenity and Tamamo nodded and got up and followed her. They entered the dining room, and she saw Persi sitting happily next to Vali.
"Momma! Me and Daddy played lots of games."
"Did you?" Serenity hummed as she started to make Persi's plate. She set the plate down, and the child started to eat.
"Yeah! We played tag and hide and seek."
"Oh, so you didn't play Red Light, Green Light Fire Truck?" Serenity hummed as she sat down with her food. Vali let out a groan as Persi perked up at the mention of her favorite game.
"We're playing that after lunch! Right, Daddy?" Persi asked.
"Yeah." Vali moaned in despair.
"Don't worry, Vali. We have that foam mattress." Serenity patted his back, and he nodded.
"What's Red Light, Green Light Fire Truck?"
"You'll see." Serenity hummed. Once they finished eating, Persi was practically vibrating with joy.
"Alright, Persi." Vali smiled. "Green Light." Persi ran towards him. "Yellow Light!" Persi slowed down. "Red Light!" She stopped, and they continued the game with Persi going back and forth down the hall. Issei was still confused about the fire truck part.
"Fire." Serenity smiled menacingly. With that, Persi perked up.
"Weewoo! Weewoo! Weewoo! Weewoo!" Persi screamed as she sprinted towards Vali.
"Red light! Red light!" Vali shouted in fear as his daughter ran full force at him.
"Fire trucks don't stop at red, Daddy!" With that, she tackled him with the force of a small train. Vali groaned as he flew backward. Issei looked in shock, and he shook his head.
"Now you know what Red Light, Green Light, Fire Truck is." Serenity hummed as Persi was giggling while sitting on Vali's stomach.
"You need to slow down, Persi." Vali groaned in pain as he stayed on the mattress. Serenity walked up towards the two, and she smiled softly. She crouched and picked up Persi off Vali, who groaned in relief.
"I've told you before Persiphyna you need to be careful before you hurt your father."
