Something In Between Us

Chapter 5

Abhimanyu is dejected as Abhir has started avoiding him. He is not talking to Abhimanyu like before or playing with him. He has been attached to Abhinav all day. He hasn’t left his side for a second.

Abhinav was looking at the decorations when Muskan entered,

Mu - Kya pure time kam karte rehte hai ap, thoda sa baithiye aram bhi kar lijiye.

Ab - Behen ki shaadi mein bhai aramse kaise baith sakta hai.

Muskan noticed Abhir and Roohi sitting on a decorations table and drawing something beside Abhinav.

Mu - Abhir ko kya hogaya hai abhi tak apse chipka hua hai.

Abhinav looked at Abhir worriedly,

Mu - Mana ke woh pehle bhi apse close tha lekin aisa kabhi nehi kiya usne.

Ab - Woh toh hai!! Mujhe bhi bohot tension ho rahi hai uski.

Mu - Ap tension mat lijiye sab kuch thik hoga. Waise mujhe apse kuch kam tha,

Ab - Hukum kariye maharaniji.

Mu - Mere kuch dost aa rahe hai ap unko leke ayenge station se.

Ab - Thik hai, kab jana hai.?

Mu - Kal shamko. Eise buddho ki tarah kapre pehen k mat jana. Kuch trendy sa pehen na.

Ab - Main tujhe buddha dikh raha hoon.

Mu - Lakshan to waise hi hai.

Ab - Ek maar paregi na phir samajh aa jayega.

Muskan made a face at him and left. Abhinav once again looked at Abhir with worried eyes who was busy with his drawing.

Akshara was cooking and Aarohi was helping her in chopping.

Aa - Akshu tune Abhinav ji se bol diya.?

Ak - Kya.?

Aa - Yehi ki tujhe Abhinav ji se pyaar hai.?

Aarohi wanted to know what is going on in Akshara's mind. As she knows about Abhinav's insecurities. She wants to help the couple.

Ak - Tujhe kisne kaha eisa.?

Aa - Ankhein hai mere paas dikhayi deta hai mujhe.

Ak - Apni ankhon ka treatment karale. Kyu ki main aur Abhinav sirf dost hai. Haa hum apne rishte main agey barna chahte hai lekin abhi bhi hum agey nehi bar paye. Dosti k alawa or koi feelings mere dil mein nehi hai.

Aa - Tu apne saare doston ki itna care karti hai, har baat pe haq jatati hai, unke liye duniya se ladti hai.?

Ak - Jo bhi tu keh rahi hai na woh sab dosti k rishte main bhi exist karta hai. Abhi zyada dimag maat chala haat chala. Bacche kuch der mein khana mangenge.

Akshara said all this but deep down even she wad thinking about it. These days she is more attached to him. She doesn’t even like it when some other girl looks at him. She feels butterflies in her stomach Everytime Abhinav hugs her or holds her hand. Is it only frienship.?

Meanwhile Abhimanyu was passing from there when Akshara was talking to Aarohi . So he heard the whole conversation and a light of hope crept in his mind.
He can get his Akshara back. She couldn’t move on till now means she still loves him. And Abhir is a kid. He will stay with his mother. So Abhimanyu's family will be fulfilled finally.

Abhinav was standing in front of the Mirror and checking Himself.

Akshara noticed this and fold both of her hands together,

Ak - Kya dekh rahe hai ap aise.?

Ab - Kya main sach main buddha ho raha hoon ji.?

Akshara started giggling,

Ak - Apko kisne kaha.?

Ab - Muskan ne. Usne kaha ki aise kapdo main mein buddha lagta hoon. Eise uske dosto ko lene na jau.

Ak - To kya pehen k jane wale hai.

Ab - Usi ne yeh packet diya hai aur kaha hai yehi pehen k jana hai mujhe.

Ak - Kabhi kabhi changes accha hota hai. Pehen lijiye jo usne diya hai.

Abhinav checked himself again,

Ab - ji thik hai.

Ak - Abhi chaliye mere saath mujhe kuch bartan utarwane hai uparse.

Ab - Ji chaliye.

....

Abhir was looking for his father when he saw Abhimanyu who was approaching him,

Abhi - Junior, main kabse apko dhoond raha hoon.

Abhir - Mujhe papa k paas jana hai.

Abhir started to leave but Abhimanyu held him

Abhi - Kya hua hai junior.? Ap mujhse naraz hai.? Ap share nehi karenge mujhse.? Main to apka best friend hoon na.

Abhir - Mera best friend mere papa hai. Mujhe kisi aur se dosti bhi nehi karni aur dusra papa bhi nehi chahiye.

Abhir's words were wounding Abhimanyu's heart bit by bit. But he still kept a steel exterior.

Abhi - Par apko to apne Real papa se milna tha na.?

Abhir - Mujhe unse nehi milna. Woh gande hai unhone mujhe aur mumma ko akele chor diya. Mere papa hi best papa hai. Ap please mujhe mere papa k paas jane dijiye.

Abhimanyu got up as he was till notw sitting in front of Abhir and let him go.

His son hates him. He doesn’t wanna meet him. He was heartbroken. But he was more angry now at Abhinav. He stole his son. His love Akshara. He is going to take them back. Now he knows Akshara doesn’t love him so it will be easier.
