I got up early because that morning all the champions of the Triwizard tournament had the interview with Rita Skeeter. I wore the Slytherin sweater with some black pants tight to my legs, with some basic white sneakers, this time I decided to make some slight curves in my hair, so that it looked a little more voluminous. When I arrived at the Great Hall, my friends were already waiting for me to have breakfast as normal....
"Michelle, relax, it's just an interview," Enzo, who sat in front of me, told me, "I know, I know, it's just that this woman always makes up what she wants in the newspapers, I don't know her and I already don't like her," I said, while I grabbed a piece of toast from the table and ate it.
...
"Okay guys, it's time for me to go, I don't want to be late" I told them as I got up and winked at them. "Good luck!" Theo said as I got up from the table to go to where the interview was going to take place. As I walked through the halls, I wondered why I hadn't seen the Riddles at breakfast, then I remembered that Draco said they had gone to Malfoy Manor to make sure of something, which I shouldn't be thinking about right now.
... (time skip)
"Hello, my name is Rita Skeeter, Daily Prophet reporter," the interviewer said as she shook hands with each of us. "But you already know me, you are the unknown ones, the juicy news" she continued saying. "What is hidden behind those rosy cheeks?" she said as she caressed Fleur Delacour's cheek and gave it a light blow. "What mysteries do the muscles mask? Is there value beneath those hairs?" She continued saying as she ruffled Cecric Diggory's hair which he responded with a pout. "In short, what motivates a champion?" she said as she squeezed Harry and me. "Who is willing to share?" Rita said without getting a response. "Let's start with the youngest" She said as she dragged me to the broom cupboard. "Great," I said in a sarcastic tone.
"Don't mind if I use a Quick-Quotes Quill, do you? She asked me. "No" I said a little sharp. "So tell me, Michelle, girl of 14-" I cut her "I'm 16" I said pissed "about to compete against four students, not only vastly more emotionally mature than yourself, but who have mastered spells that you wouldn't attempt in your dizziest daydreams, concerned? She said. "Forgive me, Rita," I said with a very fake smile. "But emotionally I beat all the champions in maturity, and believe me, I am very well prepared in spells since I can barely remember, so no, I'm not worried" I finished leaving Rita surprised.
"Do you think that some trauma from your past is what led you to participate in such a risky tournament?" she continued saying. "I didn't show up," I replied.
"Speaking of your parents, how have two Death Eaters reacted? proud? worried? or unquiet that your attitude shows, at best, a pathological need for attention, at worst, a psychotic death wish?" She finished saying. "I didn't come here to talk about my parents, I'm leaving," I said as I walked out of the stupid interview.
When the interview ended, it was time for lunch, so I headed to the Great Hall. Before entering, I met Mattheo on the way. "Hey there," I said as I approached him with a smile. "How was the interview?" He asked me. "Between horrible and horrible" I said with a fake smile, I laughed. "Has it gone that bad?" "Well, considering Rita Skeeter thought I was 14 and she only talked about my parents, great." I finally said, "what about you?" "I'm trying to describe something about the first test of the tournament, but I haven't found anything," Mattheo said frustrated, as we entered the Great Hall and sat with the others to eat.
When I sat down at the table, Draco threw me a newspaper, in which my photo from the interview this morning appeared. "You should read it," Draco told me. -swallow me dirt- was the first thing I thought when I first read the name of the article: "Teenager Tragedy: Michelle Monroe and the Triwizard cup" and started reading Rita Skeeter's newspaper out loud to my friends could hear: "Michelle Monroe, age 14... suspiciously participates in the Tournament, because she refuses to tell us how her family has reacted. "I'm gonna kill that bitch" I said as I crumpled the newspaper into a ball and tossed it back. Not to mention that Harry Potter had an article twice as long as mine.
"Woah, I think someone's in a bad mood," Draco said, making some of them laugh. "I'm not in the mood for your jokes, Draco," I said very coldly as I stood up after having finished eating.
...
I was alone in the courtyard when I saw Harry Potter approaching me.
"Can we talk?" Harry asked me. "I guess?" I said confused . "Dragons, it's the first test, they have a dragon for each one" my face went from confused to worried. "You're serious?" I told him, hoping it was a joke. he nodded his head. "And Fleur, Krum, Cedric...do they know?" I asked him. "Yes" he said "Thank you Harry" I finally said as I ran to look for Mattheo.
