First day of School | Chapter 3

~~Gracie's POV~~

It's been a few weeks since I was adopted by Shane and Ryland and I am loving my life here. Today though I am SO nervous! It's my first official day of 7th grade. For my outfit I decided to wear a pair of baggy ripped jeans and a tight black shirt. I brushed through my hair and then deemed myself presentable. I walked out of my door and into the living room where Shane was tiredly editing a video and Ryland in the kitchen out of sight.

"Good morning Gracie." Shane says as I sat next to him.

"Good morning Shane." I said cuddling into his side tiredly.

He wrapped an arm around around me and for a little bit I watched him edit a video.

They haven't officially revealed me on social media or their channel's because I requested to give me some time. I am really grateful that they have respected that. They have of course told his followers that they did adopt but I just requested for them to not tell them my name or show my face.

"Good morning sunshine!" Ryland chirped as he brought me a plate of waffles.

"Morning Ry." I giggled as I looked at the beautiful stack of waffles.

There were two waffles with sprinkles and whipped cream. It looked amazing.

"Thank you for the breakfast!" I said as he walked over and gave me a loving hug just as he does every morning.

"You're welcome sweetheart! Just a reminder that we need to leave in like 15 minutes." Ryland said kissing me on the top of my head and then making his way upstairs to get dressed.

I turned my attention back over to my stack of waffles and dug in. As I took my first bite my eyes rolled back into my head and began shoveling waffles in my mouth.

"You are going to choke!" Shane laughed as he watched me quickly eat my waffles.

I looked at him with my mouth completely full. He bust out laughing telling me to chew carefully in between his laughs and snorts.

"Ryland you are the waffle magician!" I yelled from the living room.

"Thank you!" I heard his faintly yell back.

Shane and I giggled as I finished eating my waffles. I took my plate into the kitchen and rinsed it off. I looked at the clock and saw we have 5 minutes until it was time to leave. I walked past the living room and into my room where I grabbed my backpack. I made sure I wasn't forgetting anything and then met Ryland out in the living room.

"Shane are you going to come too?" Ryland asked as he looked for his keys.

"Yeah!" Shane exclaimed shutting his laptop and getting up from his spot on the couch.

We all walked out to the car and when we got in I of course played some Taylor Swift which Ryland and I jammed the whole way to school to.

"Are you nervous?" Shane asked.

"Uh yeah a little bit." I replied.

"Well if anything happens you have a phone and our numbers are in it. So text us if you are having any problems ok?" Ryland said as he looked at me through the rear view mirror.

"Okay I will." I laughed as he smiled at me.

Suddenly I found myself in front of the school. I got out of the car and before Shane and Ryland drove off they rolled the window down and shouted out, "Bye Gracie! We love you! Have a good day!"

I smiled and waved as I walked into the big building. I entered the office where a nice younger looking lady was waiting for me. She had shorter blonde hair and was particularly tall. She had a really kind smile.
