🌈Race You To The Car!🌈

You sat in the cafeteria with your guitar in hand, some of the kids were being comforted by the teachers, as soon as wally sat down he was surrounded by upset kids seeking his comfort.
You started to play a song, not one in particular, just a soft gentle song.
The kids looked over to you and slowly the kids sat down in a circle around you, wiping their tears on their sleeves.
Wally softly rocked a sleeping student on his lap to the music, he watched you closely, the way you smiled at the kids, the way your hands played the guitar to gracefully, the way your eyes lit up just be seeing the kids smile

Barnaby whispered to wally "bud, you've been zoned out staring for a while now"
Wally blinked out his trance "oh, yeah just..beautiful music is all..!"
Barnaby glanced between you and wally a few times before gasping loudly, wally was quick to smack a hand over barnaby's mouth as he whispered "no! No dont you dare!"
Barnaby held his hand from his mouth "aw wally! Thats so cute! You have a little crush!"
Wally's face turned a bright red, he was wishing the floor could just swallow him whole, luckily for him the two of them were too far away for you to hear them.
"Barnaby be quiet!"
Barnaby smirked "wally and Y/N sitting in a tree! K i s s i n g!"
Wally hid his face in his hands from embarrasment "barnabyyy..!!"
Barnaby wrapped his arm over his shoulder "hey theres no need to be ashamed! Im happy for you!"
Wally sighed "you dont understand, its only been a day"
Barnaby patted his back, knocking all air out wally'a lungs. "hey dont get all down now! Remember frank and eddie? They fell in love at first meeting! And look at them now, happily married!"
Wally looked at you again, you were happily singing a song with the kids.
He smiled softly admiring your beauty and the way you brightened the room with the colors of your voice "yeah..i guess you're right barnaby.."

Some time had passed and alot of parents came to pick up their children, you did a great job at calming most of them down but the thunder was still going wild.
You looked out the window 'i dont have my umbrella with me..'
Wally stood beside you, his reflection in the window was looking at yours "its pretty isnt it?"
You looked at him "the rain?"
He smiled looking at your reflection "yeah..the rain"
You nodded "it is, the sound it makes on the window calms me"
Wally put his hands in his pockets "so since the kids have gone home, theres no reason for us to stay as well..i can give you a ride home if you want"
You smiled widely "really? You'd do that?"
Wally let out a soft laugh "ofcourse!"
You nodded "then i'll gladly take your offer"
Wally looked at you "perfect, i'll get my stuff and meet you at the door"

You nodded and both of you headed to your classrooms to grab your things.
You put on your coat and got your bag wrapping the blue scarf around your neck "bag..keys..phone..coat..scarf..i think thats everything"
You exited your classroom and head over to the door waving to the others and whishing them a good day, wally was already waiting there for you, his coat closed all the way up to his chin.
"Hey! You ready to go?", he asked putting his phone in his pocket, you gave him a nod "im ready!"
Wally opened the door looking at the rain falling "im not planning on getting too wet"
You stood beside him "you cant really avoid it with this rain"
Wally grinned "hey Y/N?"
you looked at him "yes wally?"
Before you even knew it he dashed off into the rain "race you to the car!"
