🌈Strange Behavior🌈

After some time you woke up, it was dark in the house aside from the streetlights shining in through the kitchen window.
You sighed as you sat up, the feeling of being watched was still there.
You looked around the room, in the darkest corner of the room two eyes were staring at you.
The pupils were wide and pitch black like two black holes staring into your soul.
You stared back at the eyes, hoping it was all just a tired halucination.
You rubbed the sleep out your eyes quickly before looking back at the dark corner, the eyes were now gone.
You turned on the lights and no sign of anyone or anything was there, you quietly tip toed into the hall.
You quietly opened the door to your room and took a peek inside, wally layed sound asleep in your bed.
You closed the door and sighed walking back into the livingroom "what was that.."
You looked at the clock, 6 am..one hour before you had to wake up.

You decided to get ready and make breakfast for two, you got changed and made breakfast.
"Goodmorning!" You heard wally greet you.
You looked at him "goodmorning!"
You blinked, wally's hair was a mess and he looked as if he hadnt had gotten any sleep "are you alright? You look exhausted"
Wally nodded "im just fine! The rain kept me awake is all"
You decided to not question him about it "breakfast is ready, come sit"
He nodded and took a seat at the table, you served him the pancakes and orange juice.
He thanked you and patiently waited for you to sit with him, you started eating wally however didnt touch his food.
"Not hungry?" You questioned him.
Wally looked at you "oh i am dont worry!"
You nodded and looked at your plate, when you glanced over at his a few bites were missing, but the utensils were again..untouched?
You looked at wally, he wasnt chewing either.
He smiled "something wrong?"
You shook your head "no no, just looking at you" you took another bite.
He laughed softly "look all you want, just leave some beauty for the rest!"
You laughed softly and you two continued your breakfast in a comforting silence.

"Wally come on! We'll be late!"
Wally was rushing around while putting on his shoes "im coming!"
You waited for him at the door and together you started your walk to the school, you checked your phone walking.
"Oh? Your partner?~" wally teased.
"Funny! Its just another ad, i dont have a partner"
Wally walked beside you, every now and then keeping you from bumping into things "that surprises me"
You looked at him "why?"
He smiled "such a lovely person like yourself surely has a special someone"
Your mind went blank for a second 'lovely person..?'
Your cheeks turned red "oh well, i guess i havent met that special someone just yet!"
The two of you entered the school, he chuckled "im sure you will!"
You giggled softly "thank you"
Wally turned to you before entering the cafeteria "i wanted to thank you, for letting me stay at your place..i know it was late and sudden i just..had nowhere else to go"
You looked at him "hey its alright, thats what friends are for"
That stung wally in the chest, friends, he didnt like that word.
Well he did, just not with you.
"Yeah! Friends"

As the day passed by you noticed some sudden changes in wally's behavior he seemed more distant, his hair even messier than that morning, even his eyes seemed different.
Usually they sparkled under the lights, but now not a single light was seen in them.
You wanted to ask him if he was okay a few times today, but it seemed like he avoided you like the plague making up excuses.
"Sorry im busy right now!"
"The kids need my help!"
"The kids want me to play right now! I'll see you later!"
You sighed as you got yourself some water.

"Whats gotten you so down?"
You looked over at poppy, the school nurse walked over to you.
"Its okay poppy, its nothing"
Poppy got a cup filling it with hot water "now its not nothing if its bothering you!"
You looked at the water "wally has been avoiding me..and..acting strange"
Poppy added a tea bag into the water "maybe hes struggling with himself, im sure you did nothing wrong honey! Just wait until after school and you two can walk home together!"
Your cheeks went bright red "w-whered you get that from?"
Poppy giggled "we saw you two together!"
You smiled softly "yeah, i'll wait after work"

There it was again..

The watched feeling..

And from tbe corner of your eye..

You couldve sworn to see two wide, deep, black eyes staring back at you.
