Percy POV

The war was finished, Gaia was defeated but with a great price, all of my friends are dead, and it was all my fault.

Jason died protecting Piper who had been severely injured to the head, by getting stabbed in the back hard enough for the blade to appear out of his chest.

Piper had died shortly after, her skull was completely shattered from the impact of a cyclops' foot on her head.

Leo had died protecting a few younger demigods by getting getting drowned to death, the water was still bubbling out his open blue mouth.

Frank had died when one of the enemy got hold of his life line. They burnt it and he slowly painfully died while he watched Hazel get speared in the chest, killing her instantly.

Reyna died protected the Romans and lending them every last strength she had in her, so she basically gave away all of her strength, leaving her with non what so ever. Once a praetor always a praetor.

Clarisse had died bringing a giant down with her. She died a heroes death, just like she wanted.

Thalia had died protecting the younger hunters, getting nailed by a dozen poisonous arrows in the heart. Once a hunter always a hunter.

Nico had died by getting a sword stab to the stomach. The bleeding was too much, his life was ending but he managed to tell me his feelings for me before he died, his eyes losing its light forever. I regret not noticing how he looked so miserable when he saw me and Annabeth together, I was so selfish.

The stroll brothers had died together, both getting speared in the chest. They died making jokes till the end.

Katie Gardener died getting suffocated by poisonous ivy plants. I guess her power was against her since she could control the ivy and all but she was too miserable to live since her boyfriend had died in the war, Travis Stroll.

Lastly, my wise girl had died getting squashed to death by Gaia in a shrinking cube of earth. The only thing marking that she was there was the giant pool of blood, flesh and bone.

I had defeated Gaia and the monsters with strength I didn't even know I had.

After defeating her, I just fell to my knees and just cried, pouring everything out, the war, the losses, the sacrifices, my friends and mostly, my wise girl.

She didn't deserve to die, non of them did, and it was all my fault, all of it.
