"Baby come get me please." Fallon looked at me through FaceTime in her school bathroom.
"Mama, I'm at the studio." I tell her.
"Please. I'm on my period. I need food. I'm in pain." Fallon groans.
"You can't wait til 1? I'll come get you then." I look at her sympathetically.
"12?" Fallon takes out her cart and takes a hit.
"Baby 1. Im busy."
"Whatever." She rolls her eyes and hangs up.
"Girlfriend troubles." Naz laughs.
"It's not funny." I groan.
"It is." Naz continues laughing.
"What would you do?" I ask him.
"I would get her at 1. Like you said but bring her food and pack her a spend the night bag. Show her some love. It's just her hormones acting up. You know she don't usually act like this." Naz shrugs.
"Does this work with Mariah?" I ask.
"Well Mariah isn't in school but yeah it does. If you say 1 and she says 12, get her at 1. She'll know that you kept your word and appreciate that."
"Bet bet. You ready to go in?" I point to the booth.
"Yeah." Naz nods.

"I'm here to pick up Fallon Reyes." I talk to the security guard at the front desk.
"Relation?" She asks.
"Family friend." I respond.
"ID?" She asks and I give her my ID.
"I'll call her down for you." She smiles. "Security on 4th. Fallon Reyes in Room 414 is going home."
I patiently wait on my phone by my desk and I see Fallon come down the stairs. She mean mugs me and walks out the door.
"Thank you." I say to the lady and sighs.
"Baby. I told you I'd come get you." I hold her hand as we walk to the car.
She looks at me with tears in her eyes and dried tears on her face. "Hey hey. Don't cry baby." I look at her caressing her cheek.
"I'm in so much pain, baby." She says quietly.
"I know. I'm sorry. But come on. You're gonna spend the night with me tonight." I tell her.
"Really?" She asks innocently.
"Mhm. We get your favorite and watch your favorite movies and eat ice cream all night and tomorrow." I say.
"What about school tomorrow?" She asks.
"Your dad is gonna call the school and tell them that you're sick." I rub her back and open the passenger door for her.
She smiles. "Imma take care of you baby. I told you I got you forever." I kiss her forehead and get in the car.
