The Harrington Household remained extravagant in all of its vast glory. A heated pool, two floors, a lengthy garage that connected to the driveway, and that was only the exterior. The interior was even more lavish, however the house's most finest quality to Nathan was the constant desolate and depressed ambience you could sense with just one step through the front door.

Nathan had grown to resent the home, unlike his brother who seized every opportunity to use the home as a public hangout and slither his way into some poor girl's legs. He was glad that, after the fiasco with Nancy Wheeler and Jonathan Byers, he wisened up last year. The Party-Going Pretty-boy had turned a new leaf in a sense, albeit a very small leaf.

The leaf didn't matter very much though, he would still house parties, he would still get drunk with friends, but Nathan could notice the considerable amount of change in behavior; his loyalty to Nancy.

He could only wonder about how he managed to keep her so far.

"Listen, Mini-me, you did alright on the field. Next time, just try to not get a hard-on for a random girl," Steve teased his younger brother while sliding on a blue jacket. Nathan looked in the mirror, waiting for his curly hair to dry after just getting out the shower.

He had on some jeans and socks, topless while leaning against the bathroom sink,

"Very funny, jackass. Next pass I'm tossing is going straight into your jugular," Nathan defended.

"With my super ninja reflexes?" Steve countered with a laugh, "You'd be lucky to even get near this pretty face."

Nathan slid on a blue and grey baseball tee, the colors for his middle school team. He rolled the sleeves up partially, and walked out of the bathroom and into his bedroom.

"'Pretty' is weird choice to describe the chick-repellent features you have," Nathan shouted back from his room.

There wasn't much originality, just some poster of baseball players and other sport related things. However, what didn't go unnoticed was the walkie talkie that was upright by a stained wooden desk next to some school supplies.

"Chick-repellent?! Now you're just reaching!" Steve retorted back, amusement laced within his smug tone.

"Hey," Steve called back to him, walking to his bedroom door and peeking his head in slightly. Steve had slid some black sunglasses onto his face while Nathan was sliding his baseball cap onto his head.

Nathan glanced over, grasping a white bag and stuffing his talkie inside.

"You plan on going to the arcade later with your 'Outsiders'?" Steve asked before leaning against the doorframe into Nathan's room fully.

"Hopefully, but first I've got some work to do, unlike some people..." his younger brother responded, intentionally dragging out the. The younger brother squeezed between Steve and the doorframe, beginning to walk to his house's lavish, yet dull kitchen with the white bag in hand.

"Very funny, fuck-face. Come on, I'll drop you off at the Post. And if you give me a nice, long apology, for that comment about my face, I'll see about giving you a ride to the arcade," Steve walked after the boy, putting his arm around the the younger boy and ruffling his head.

The younger brother simply scoffed at his foolish brother's antics, "I'd rather not hear about how the key to women is to act like you don't care, for the 20th time. I'll just bike."

"Suit yourself, dipshit. You're just gonna have to bike across Hawkins for the rest of the school year," His older brother stated with a smile on his face. Steve hardly ever meant whatever hostile terms he told his brother, and it usually brought joy to Nathan that Steve was usually being his dickish self. Nathan could almost imagine that the world would crumble apart as soon as Steve Harrington started acting mature. Nathan almost bursted out laughing, managing to suppress it into a small chuckle. They made their way outside side-by-side, conversing with each other about the game and other things.
