Daxon keep gazing at her frozen form and waited patiently for her to process the things. He didn't wanted her to miss any single thing of this moment and then she will not be left with any way to justify Alexander's actions. She have to understand that he is cheating on her no matter how painful it will be for her. The proud of her on Alexander's love was shattered in millions of pieces now. He knew now she will understand that Alexander don't loves her but playing with her emotions just to get with get in bed.
The thought alone angered Daxon. Now that Alexander's truth was out he will not let her go even near him. He has a good chance of stealing her from Alexander and make her his for ever. He will devour her as her first man and then will keep her as a slave for the rest of their life. His plan is almost successful. Storm growled loudly at his dirty thoughts towards his mate making his chest rumble. He will not let his dirty intentions to be fulfilled and his mate to be hurted.
"Sugar?" Daxon called her softly making her snap out of her thoughts at his voice. He pretended like he was so concerned for her but the truth was other way around.
She backed away from the window immediately like it burned her colliding in his chest completely. Her balance wavered making Daxon to clutch her waist in a firm grip. He didn't wanted to leave any single moment of touching her now because she was just few steps away from becoming his.
He started walking while holding her waist making her walk automatically with him. She was numb and beyond broken because only Alexander was the person in her life and now that he had cheated on her, she has no one to rely on. No where to go, no one to talk. She is alone, very alone in this cruel and selfish world. Was she not enough for him that he cheated on her. 'You were not even present for him.' her inner voice mocked her.
"Sugar listen to me." Daxon said faking his concern while taking her to the near by tree.
Hazel moved according to him without any resistance or question. She was so numb and didn't knew what to do with herself anymore. She never ever thought in her life that Alexander will do this to her.
"Listen to me Sugar, please." Daxon said with a desperation in his voice making her slowly raise her head at his level.
"W-w-why did he lied to me all these y-years?" Hazel asked him with tears streaming down her face, staining her cheeks but she care less now.
Daxon sighed. "To keep you away from the sins he has been committing." Daxon told her making something broke in her not because of Alexander's betrayal but her own foolishness. How can she be this much stupid?
Daxon moved a little closer to her. "It's not you who's masked but it's Alexander who is wearing one." he said to her making realization hit her.
"B-b-but what will I d-do now? I-I loved him and he b-betrayed me." she stuttered out not knowing what to do anymore.
Daxon clenched his jaw and fists hearing her say that she loved him. No she can't think like this or his plan will be doomed he has to manipulate her to the extent where she will start thinking about him and forget Alexander completely or criticize him.
"You don't love him Sugar!" he stated making her head snap at him. Her brows crashed in confusion.
"I-I love him." she defended herself making him chuckle at her mockingly.
"You don't. You are just convincing yourself that you love him and he loves you so that your marriage can work." Daxon said shaking his head.
"No! I-it's nothing like that I-I love him." she said and her voice trailed off.
