Y/n pov:

I sat there in shock. She just said I love you I looked past her at the clock and jumped up.

"Shit I have class!" I stopped at the door and started pulling my jeans on. "I love you too, but we are late." I kiss her and grab my bag. "Oh, are you going to eat that?" I take a bite of her apple and carry it in my mouth as I struggle to put my Converse on.

"I- I'll see you later?" Charlie said grabbing another apple and rushing out of the house.

Later as I was sitting in an anatomy lecture I started to space out thinking about Charlie. I sighed thinking about how she had said I love you.

"Y/n what causes kidney stones?" My professor asked snapping a book shut. I fumbled my words before forming an actual sentence.

"Drinking too little water, exercising too much or too little, obesity, weight loss surgery, or eating food with too much salt or sugar." I said after briefly scanning my notes.

"Good, continuing on." I heaved a sigh of relief and looked at the clock. 2:45. Only 15 more minutes then I have a break before the meet.

Fifteen long minutes later I ran out of the classroom and made my way to the lunchroom. I got some mediocre food and looked at my watch. 3:10 I jumped up and threw away my trash before making my way to the pool.

I sat on the top level parallel to the board so you could see the whole thing and I looked down to see Charlie talking to her teammates while stretching. I smiled to myself and settled in for the next 2 hours.

Charlie pov:

I was on the pool deck waiting for my final turn when my name was finally called.

"The last dive today will be Charlie Watson doing dive 405B inward 2 ½ DD: 3.4." I got onto the board, first step. Check the volcum, second. Step to the end of the board, third. Heels over the edge, fourth. Oscillate to get momentum, sixth. Throw the dive while remaining in a pike for 2 ½ rotations.

I threw the dive and piked, I watched the board go past once, twice, look for the water and out. I came out perfectly my hands landing on the water. My body sucked under and I blew out my nose. When I came to the surface everyone was cheering.

"Scores, 7.5, 8, 8." I swam to the edge of the pool and all my teammates came over. They all shared congratulations and I looked up to see y/n beaming. "Thank you all for coming to our first meet have a lovely evening." The announcer said.

Y/n pov:

I went down to the pool deck and saw Charlie, she was showered and had changed but her hair was wet. God, I love seeing her with wet hair.

"Good job," I said giving her a hug. She laughed and pulled away.

"Thanks, umm guys this is y/n, y/n this is the team." She pointed at all of them and told me their names but I forgot almost immediately.

"Nice to meet all of you," I said clinging to Charlie, she squeezed my arm and looked at me.

"Well if we want to go to dinner we should head out." She said leading the way to the doors. We walked out of the building and the smell of fresh air hit me clearing the smell of chlorine from my head.

"Where are we headed?" One of the girls asked, one guy started walking and we all followed. We ended up at a local pub where many of Charlie's older teammates started drinking. Charlie and I sat awkwardly and ate our food.

"You want to go home?" She asked holding my hand under the table. I nodded and she got up. "We're heading home, y/n is tired and has a final tomorrow." All of her teammates said goodbye and went back to drinking.

We left and stepped out onto the street. I looked over at Charlie and smiled.

"I missed this, we haven't really had any time to ourselves." I leaned on her as we started walking home.

"I do too, I know we haven't really talked about this but. Are we ever going to, you know?" I stopped walking.

"I think when the moment is right we will." We started walking again and soon we were at home.

"Ok, we should head to bed," Charlie said, I nodded and drifted away from her. "Y/n?" I looked back at her and smiled.

"I love you," I said kissing her, she leaned in further and pushed me against the fridge.

"I love you too." She kissed me again and pinned my wrists above my head. I guess she thinks this is the right moment.
