New Year's eve.
Dream is trying to find an outfit for dinner in the fancy restaurant where his family and all his relatives go each year to celebrate new year's eve. It has been the tradition ever since he was young.
''You should try these'' George said, having picked out black pair of jeans and white shirt with black buttons.
''You think?'' Dream questioned, ''I wore this exact outfit last year'' he added.
''Classy but never gets old'' George grinned, ''Come on we'll find a tie to match with it''
''Is my hair okay?'' Dream asked again.
''Are you nervous?'' George suddenly asked.
''No'' Dream began, ''It's just a really fancy place'' Dream tries to make something up.
George took a step closer towards the blonde who was nervously standing in the middle of the room to put a tie on he had chosen while carefully making the tie sit neat on top of the blonde's white shirt, ''You're gonna be alright'' George quietly murmured while his hands still resting around his neck.
In Dream's eyes everything was blurry and anything surrounding him at the moment felt like he wasn't in reality. Only him and his lingering thoughts about the dinner.
Dream aren't usually this nervous about some stupid kind of dinner around his family circle. But it was George for what the blonde was nervous for. He wasn't nervous for him to meet his family, it wasn't the cause.
He was nervous of the brunette hearing his real name for the first time. Because Dream knew that the name made up by himself for his own well-being wasn't going to be used around his relatives. They just weren't that close to them. Yet there was nothing he could do to prevent it and neither could his mother.
Scared of his past coming to the ground and having to explain the brunette about everything made him feel like that would be for sure a good reason George would break up with him.
Why would anyone want to go through the long journey of healing with many up's and downs from the past. It just feels so selfish putting your weight on someone else shoulders.
George was just a distraction for his happiness to remain as long as the brunette would stay next to him. It felt incredibly guilty to even think about it that way. But he couldn't help it.
''Dream?'' George suddenly asked with a peak of softness in his tone. His arms long gone from wrapping around his neck which made him suddenly snap back into reality, ''Huh?'' Dream quietly mumbled with his eyes scanning all around the room to make sense of the surroundings around him.
''You were completely lost in your thoughts'' George quietly breathed beneath his voice while looking towards the blonde scanning every inch of the room surrounding them, ''Do you wanna talk about it?'' George suddenly asked.
For some reason George asking him to speak about his mind made his heart soft from the gesture of even caring. Maybe he wouldn't leave after all? Yet there was no good time to ever speak about it. But it will be a long dreading path and eventually George would want some sort of explanation.
''Not really'' Dream quietly murmured while wrapping his arms around George's waist trying to find a sense of comfort to forget about the thoughts that were still lingering all around his head.
''Whenever you're ready'' George softly spoke out while his face wrapped against Dream's chest and his hands creeping tighter around the blonde's waist, pulling his body closer to himself. Neither of them saying another word.
''Honey are you ready?'' A voice suddenly called from behind the door that was slightly cracked open from earlier. It made both of the boys jump apart fairly quickly whilst a slight wave of panic ran over Dream's entire body.
