Chapter 7

"Yoo-hoo~" A familiar voice said, knocking on the car window. Y/N looked up to see Venti, who was waiting outside along with Kazuha, Wanderer, and Heizou.

"Oh," Y/N said with no enthusiasm. She unlocked the door, and the rest of the 5WIRL band climbed in, sighing.

"Why do we even go to these?" Wanderer said to no one in particular.

"Because our record label wants us to," Kazuha said tiredly.

"I'm going to drag you to the next one of these, you deserve to suffer with the rest of us," Venti whined, mock punching Xiao.

"No." Xiao suddenly jerked the car forward, causing everyone to fall forward. He then immediately raced out of the parking lot, with everyone shrieking. "Whose house are we going to?"

"Let's go to Wanderer's~" Kazuha said in a sing-song voice, causing Wanderer to blush furiously.

"No! No way in the world are we going there!" Wanderer argued, still blushing.

"We are so going to Wanderer's house now! We don't like going to Xiao's, my house is a mess, we just went to Kazuha's, and Venti's is crowded," Heizou said, smirking. "Also I want to see if Wanderer has anything about Kazuha~"

Kazuha turned bright red. "Ah...perhaps we should go to Venti's instead..."

"You started this, so you have to end it," Y/N pointed out, relishing the look on Kazuha's face.

"Y/N, you're supposed to help me, not work against me," Kazuha whispered to her.

"Heh." Y/N rolled her eyes.

Xiao made an illegal u-turn, and went on the highway, ignoring the speed limit of 60 mph. Y/N was worried that the engine would break after they reached 200, but surprisingly the car held together. They rocketed past the other vehicles, with Venti occasionally sticking his hand out of the window to flip off an annoying driver. Y/N smiled to herself. The 5WIRL band really was one-of-a-kind. After thirty minutes or so of the risky driving, the Lexus sharply veered into a driveway close to the highway. The house was quite large, but simple, with dark eves and a white door. Wanderer hopped out of the car first, followed by Kazuha and then the rest of the band, with the addition of Y/N.

"Just come up to my room, my mom won't care." And with that, Wanderer crept up the ivory stairs until he reached an indigo-colored door.

Wanderer sheepishly opened the door, slipping inside. Y/N and the others followed him, then froze in surprise. His room was shockingly bare, sparsely decorated with a chair, desk, and bed. There was one notable thing, however: there appeared to be a bulletin board above his desk, covered with photos. Most of them were photos of Wanderer and Kazuha, although there were a few of the 5WIRL band.

"Okay, I was kinda expecting something really weird but this is adorable!" Venti said, pointing at the board and beaming.

"Oh. Ah..." Kazuha turned away from the board. "I never really noticed it..."

"Shut up!" Wanderer whined, tugging on his bangs. "It's just a stupid board, alright?"

"Wanderer..." Kazuha began.

"It was a stupid choice to put up all of those pictures and I'll regret it for the rest of my life!" Wanderer said, eyes starting to fill with tears.

"Wanderer," Kazuha tried to say.

"I know that I'm just a stupi–" Wanderer was cut off as Kazuha pressed his lips to Wanderer's, effectively silencing him. Y/N felt the urge to jump up and down in excitement, but she kept silent, letting the couple have their moment. The other members decided to chat and ignore the two, leaving Y/N looking awkwardly at them.
