I took a deep breath before heading around the tunnel, I'm dumb but not that dumb.
My little detour around the tunnel was going great before heading a scream. It sounded like a women in distress, I quickly but quietly followed the screams through the woods before coming across the road, I stopped in horror; there stood Judy surrounded by 4 zombies. She was stuck on top of a car snaking them down over and over again with what looked to be a thick stick.
I quickly pulled out my bow with my bow shooting two of them before running to the broken down car, stabbing on in the head as she took the end of her stick through the others eye pushing it off the top of the car with her feet. She flung herself backwards laying down on the top as she looked over seeing me. Her hair was a mess, her clothes cover in blood of the undead, she had a scratch going down her cheek, small but bad enough to notice from a distance. She rolled off the car landing on her hands an knees before running to me, calling my name, as she threw her arms around me. I quickly returned the hug as a tear ran down my cheek. "I never thought I'd see you again!" She cried.
After a moment or two her and I started heading to where I was going. She didn't question, she didn't complain but rather she talked my ear off about everything she had been through and how she survived. She took refuge with a few people from school but someone had been bit turning her small camp into a war zone, those zombies were apart of her group.
As we walked I explained everything to her. "He really did that knowing you and Zion where a thing?" She questioned. "Yes, so now I'm on the search for him, I came across this note actually," I said pulling the paper out of my pocket showing her.
She looked sad, knowing she went through something she wasn't ready to talk about I didn't push her. She eventually spoke as tears formed in her eyes, "My group actually came across a bunch of those," she stated.
"It's as if someone is looking for you or trying to lead you to them."
I couldn't help but think of liv, what if this is her way of trying to get away from Lawrence, what if this was her way of helping me find her.
