The Genderbent Version of Me Became An Ikeman!? is the full title name. Another dumb idea, lol. Gotta cool off from main fic updates until I finish thinking of more plot.
Ayanokouji Kiyone POV
"Excuse me, can I sit down next to you?"
I was in deep thought about society's equality, or , more correctly, it's inequality, when I was shook out of my trance from a handsome looking guy that looked strangely similar to me. Honestly, it was a little creepy.
However, as an introverted person, I didn't have the gut to say 'no'.
"Sure."
He smiled at me, and sat down promptly. For some reason, I got the feeling that I saw a forbidden sight. Shaking that feeling off, I examined his features. It's a little odd how similar he was to me.
"Hm, we look pretty alike, don't you think?"
Apparently, he was thinking similarly to me.
"Yeah, it's a little surreal. Coincidences can be freaky."
He stared at me, bemused. "Funny you say that. I say that phrase to my friends a lot, haha. They get really annoyed by it, for some reason."
Huh, I'll keep that in mind. Suddenly, a scene was caused on the bus. To summarize, an office worker got into an argument with a haughty high school student over an old lady standing. After a couple minutes of back and forth, a third party, a high school girl, came in to. break it up. To do so, she asked if anyone could give up their seats.
Apparently, the kind-hearted soul next to me wanted to do so.
"Ah, I'll give it up. I'm sorry I didn't notice earlier." He scratches his head. He turned to me. "Are you fine with that?"
"Yeah."
It's not like I could refuse, although I was given the option to. It'd just make me look worse, and I heard first impressions were important in a new school.
The two of them led the older lady to the vacant seat very naturally. They both seemed very well-versed in public affairs. The rest of the passengers slowly went back to minding their business now that the argument was over.
After the older lady sat down, they struck a conversation.
"Thanks a lot for helping! You're very kind. My name's Kushida Kikyo, what's yours?" The girl said with a smile on her face. She seems like the type of girl to get along with everyone. In comparison, the guy seemed similar.
"Oh, I'm Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. It's nice to meet you. And, it's no problem. I wish I could've noticed earlier, but I didn't see..."
'Ayanokouji'? Can this even be called a coincidence anymore?
Besides that, I wanted to jump into the conversation as well, to make some friends early on. Unfortunately, the elder was in the other seat, blocking me. Well, I probably wouldn't even have spoken up regardless, but I'd like to use that as an excuse.
Instead of that, I looked outside for the rest of the way. I guess I'm being a little timid.
.
After the initial entrance ceremony, we were called back to our homerooms. My seat was one seat above the farthest corner seat, which was occupied by the boy from before. I wasn't sure what to call him, even in my mind. Calling him Ayanokouji is a bit awkward.
He was talking to a girl next to him, a black-haired beauty. I was almost a little jealous.
"Ah, the girl from before! I didn't catch your name."
