Taking a well-deserved break from publishing the Genshin crossover to make this one shot. I actually have a sister, but she's older than me by a year and we used to fight a lot. I used to get some of her old stuff like her phone so I felt a little jealous but we were mostly interested in different things.

Ayanokouji Kiyotaka POV

I raised my head from the comfort of my arms; I put my head down into my arms a while ago as I waited for class to start. I did it occasionally, since I'd gotten to class earlier than almost all of my peers. Sometimes Horikita was here before me, but it was a rare sight.

Today, I was alone in my early arrival, feeling comforted by my solitude. I put my head down for a bit more before I heard the door slide open. I thought it was Horikita, but it turned out to be someone else unfamiliar.

Following her was chairman Sakayanagi, looking surprised as he saw me. "I hadn't expected anybody to be here so early. Good morning, Ayanokouji-kun."

"Good morning to you too," I greeted him. "Who's this?"

I pointed to the girl with short brown hair, her face faced towards me with some sort of disinterest. Oddly enough...

"Well, I suppose it's a good time to explain it to you. She's actually your half-sister. Could you introduce yourself?"

The girl groaned, reluctantly speaking. "My name is Kuwahara Aya. I'm assuming you're Ayanokouji Kiyotaka?"

"Yeah..."

She sighed, sitting in the seat in front of me while still facing towards me. "You look kinda boring. Do something interesting, will you?"

"I'm not a magician, I can't just pull something out of nowhere."

Chairman Sakayanagi cleared his throat. "Anyways, we better get going before more students start coming in. I told you that the weekend would be a better time, but you insisted on going as soon as possible."

The girl flipped her hair, getting up from the seat. "I just wanted to see what type of guy my half-brother was. And you." She pointed at me. "I know you think I'm childish, but I'm not. I'm only a year younger than you, so don't think that, okay?"

"Okay...?"

I don't know what the purpose of her trip here is, but I hoped she wasn't here for long. I felt like she'd be a pain to deal with just based off of how she's acting. I watched their shadows as they left the classroom. Hopefully I won't see her again, I don't particularly care about any relatives of mine at this time.

.

Only a couple weeks later, on a Saturday morning, I received a visit from the chairman once again, this time, at my dorm room. I frowned at the sight of him.

"Couldn't we talk during the school day? Having you visit me is rather awkward for me to explain." I complained. "Besides, I can't imagine the point of this visit."

He seemed truly apologetic as he entered. "I'm so sorry for not giving you a notice. Let's discuss this further. Come on in."

Kuwahara stepped out from behind him, looking at me flatly. She didn't seem too thrilled at entering my room.

They sat down near my table while I started to boil some water for later, in case I decided to drink coffee. I'd expected this visit to be about her, but I didn't know the specifics.

"So, because of some circumstances, Mrs. Kuwahara will have to stay with you indefinitely until those circumstances are sorted out."

"Huh? Why? Doesn't she already have others taking care of her?"
